My condolences. My mom had to put my family's dog down today as well. Ours was a 16 year-old mutt from the Houston SPCA that we got when she was a puppy. You really have to love it to do it, and you have to have a knack. In short, I think it is presumptuous to believe that we can have any kind of effect on how thrifts operate. There is a reason that thrifts have evolved the way that they have, and it has nothing to do with EazyE or Mainy or Spoo. We are gleaners, not Mother Earth, and our harvests have nothing to do with planting season.

On a side note, I was on the radio today and one of the hosts complimented me on my navy Dobbs fedora. Where'd you get it, he asked. Goodwill, I answered. He and the others in the studio all laughed, thinking
