I'm sorry to bring this back up but I wanted to pass on my condolences to you, EazyE. Losing a dog, for those of you that aren't really "dog people," is on the same level of losing a family member. Allow yourself to grieve and don't let people tell you to just move on or that it was only a dog because you know it was much more than that.

@pnutpug: Nice article! It's always interesting to read about things like that, especially when you "know" (for lack of a better word) the featured people.

Went out to the Winners near my office and I got to say wow, that place is actually stepping up its game. Passed on a Helmut Lang shirt at $70 (made in China), but grabbed a Limited Edition skeet blanket for $40, figure I can make a bit of cash off it.

Left behind this jacket because it was too small. Eubiq NY... anyone familiar with the brand? It's tagged L but fits more like a medium (about 19.5 P2P and 33" arms, I'd say). Don't know anything about the brand except it looked cool and was made in the U.S. If anyone wants a proxy ($45+shipping) I can go back and grab it. It's more green than this photo shows.

I assumed that was an elaborate question-brag.

I have to agree. I wasn't prepared at all for losing a pet. Losing our childhood dog, who was a very old and sick 14 and who I hadn't lived around for a few years, was still devastating.

My mom and stepdad only just now got a new puppy, 3 years after the fact.

Yes indeed it is the good Givenchy but only good in terms of exclusivity rather than quality. They are mostly entirely fused judging by the garments I have handled in the past. However, this will not prevent a bidding war on eBay or a few PM's from fellows here that follow fashion and are looking to trade well for something coming out of this re-emerging fashion house.

Recent Givenchy is on my radar as a second category grail find - it is probably on a par or better than a generic Gucci or Prada in terms of weight / importance (I use the word generic loosely - by generic I infer a fairly regular run of the mill find like a 3 button single vented jacket in a plain color).

fuck...

no bragging post...

over 1500 items in this haul...

another 1000 from the last I haven't been able to brag about...

another 800 by the end of the week...

There is no way I can inventory and photo this stuff...

Here's the breakdown of this haul...

Suits: 65-70 ~20 Brioni, a few RLPL, 10 oxxford, a few Isaia, Zegna...

Shirts: 150-200: Mostly Brioni, RLPL, Turnbull Asser, Charvet, one Kiton....

Pants: 150-200: Tons of Zanella, Incotex, Brioni, Barbera...

Ties: 1000+:  Imagine any high end brand (Kiton, Charvet, Brioni, Hermes, Turnbull & Asser, Sulka, RLPL), there's 10-50 of each, maybe 150 zegna (I just spotted a zegna for patek phillippe nod[1].gif)

Suspenders: About 50 trafalgar, some limited edition prints

Shoes: 4: Not much to brag about

The story:  I cleared out a pretty awesome estate sale

By the end of the week, I'll be dealing with over 3500 items... bragging will be limited.

..... yeah....

oh... I'm pulling a spoo and launching a full blown webstore too... a little more comprehensive than luxeswap actually... It's up now (but pretty hidden), I should be launching it near the end of the week....

That's the story folks... onwards to post 50k!

Found a nice Converse x John Varvatos jacket, probably available (size M).

Fits really slim in the body, but unfortunately, the sleeves are rather long.  Has a heavy-duty zipper, but you can also button up the jacket.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I was going to brag about a tie haul I had a week ago, but not sure what the point is any more...

Pretty nice. Do you think the sleeves are meant to have a huge cuff?

That's pretty cool. Pretty sure the over-long sleeves are part of the look.

How do you have time for this and school? I barely have time to do the small amount I do with work & family and school takes up way more time than work...

DM7 may be the Henry Ford of thrifting. He's taken it into the Industrial Revolution.

I have a recent Givenchy suit that I bought quite cheaply (NWOT) on B&S that's half-canvassed. Not sure if that's the rule or the exception.

I'm wearing a pair just like 'em (although Alden for Brooks Brothers) that I got from Typhoid. Great shoes. Nice find!
