With all of the Vacca talk, I thought I'd bring this back since no one answered.

Waist - 21

Also, from earlier today.  Can anyone confirm?  It doesn't really matter, since I'm keeping, but I'd like to know for future reference.

You havent flipped that suit yet? That thing is sweet.

Related to your shell question, and since I asked about another pair of Florsheims earlier in the week, could anyone offer any tips on identifying shell other than by the rolls? Are their any other obvious or subtle features?

Found a nice J Crew herringbone wool waistcoat (size Large and available)

These were from a consignment store. Vintage Florsheim Imperial shell cordovan and gator? saddle oxfords. They've got V-cleats and light wear.

Does anyone know if this is real gator or embossed calf? Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

datsun, almost certainly embossed.

Thanks, guys, re: shell!  I thought they were, but I just needed some confirmation.

@ChetBakerSings - Some things cannot be unseen.

When I Googled a related phrase to see if there was a better pic, this came up.  In the tradition of "unicorns" and "skeet blanket", can we make this the shell confirmation pic?

@SeaJen - No, I haven't.  Work's been crazy lately, I just sent out 30 eBay packages last Sunday (a LOT for me), and I still have a ton of other stuff to take pics of and list, including that suit.  It can be yours for a steal. devil.gif

Shirt was EU 40 with a redic spread and two collar buttons:

Both pants were 52 aka 36 W:

Also had to leave behind a beautiful grey wool BBGF that unfortunately had been orphaned.

Uuuuh, go back for those ASAP! Never leave Vacca anything unless it's ridiculously overpriced or completely trashed.
