As an ex-bike racer, possibly future born again bike racer, I gotta say that thing is real legit. My favorite part is the American Classic skewers. Halfway thrift related, I used to get American Classic wheels on a team deal (the hubs were orig. built up with Velocity rims, the shallow ones), train or race on them for a month or two and sell them on eBay for near my cost.

Oh boy...

I mean the big one as in,

bigger than all the other ones,

as in bigger than all of the other ones put together.

Sorry for the spam spam[1].gif, but I've been on the hunt on ebay trying to find some quality, good condition brown and/or black cap toes for at least month now to no avail.  I have many pairs of loafers, wingtips, split-toes, etc, but I've just never came across nice enough cap toes to place in my wardrobe.  I'm willing to pay, but I just can't find anything on ebay that I think is worth it (AE park avenues in semi-good condition have been going for $100+ lately), and finding nice shoes in thrifts around me is near impossible.  So I was wondering if anyone knows of some quality brands that tend to be undervalued on ebay.  I know several brands that are typically undervalued when it comes to dress shirts, suits, etc, but I can't think of any shoe brands.  Any advice?

Why you buy this?

... Because it was $7 all-in and fit perfectly. Tailor fit, 40 short is acceptable, yes?

But it's Banana Republic!

... I guess I'm a sucker for peak lapels. And it has a zippered cell phone pocket! Sweet, right??

IT'S BLACK corduroy!

.... well, at least it's only three years old.

Will you wear it?

....

I had a pair I resold that I was fairly certain were Cheaney with almost identical liner text. The current AS Bristol is a saddle shoe.

We may have a Gucci loafer repeat situ on our hands.

Update. refurb complete. I was right.
