I want to start taking some more chances on shirts with the stains (flippable ones of course).

When all fails, try the alcohol approach, dip dab and soak it up.

The Z Zegna will say "Z Zegna" on the label. Their mainline stuff will say the whole EZ name and has a better feel to it.

Dont want to steal Shiny's thunder with his Thom Browne score...but im sure you guys would appreciate seeing some Dior Homme and not the usual Christian Dior licensed garbage that sometimes plagues this forum.

This incredible SC was going to end up as some person's costume and tossed afterwards.  No content tag, but it definitely feels like part cashmere....wild.

Also found an otherwise unremarkable Harris Tweed blazer in the mix, but it fits me and has a funky lining so I picked it up.

Outside of the "costume" racks were these other gems.

BB 1818 Madison SC 42R wool houndstooth...needs a dryclean to remove a couple food spots (?) but is otherwise in amazing shape.

also can I get some feedback on the fit of this tweed blazer? it is a hand me down and I think it might be too short but it is cool and has patch pockets and is double vented

Thanks, buddy! I would of totally keep those APC but the cuffs were 3 inches! Those look good on you! I'm happy for you! I dig the jacket. It's very short in a fashion forward sense. Keep rocking out in the free world!!!

Well, I'm going to f**cking earn your respect. Because today was my day in the life of DM7.
Unfortunately.... That respect is going to be diminished somewhat because of the shitty ass pictures, which I'll have to settle for because I can't find the goddam cord to connect my slightly less crappy camera to my computer. So Blackberry it is.
So here's the story. I went back for an RRL shirt for a thread brother. Intended to hit just one shop. But BAM! I was hitting good shit left and right. So I decided to see if my luck would hold, and went to a local GW that I'd hit once before to very mediocre results. BAM BAM! I was freaking Reaganing! Every effing label I turned was better than the last! I mated over a half dozen orphans. I was sweating bullets and must have looked possessed. It was un-effing-believable.
Unless noted, everything is available.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Shoes:

Ferragamo (left) 9D
AE, model unknown (split toe norwegian w vibram sole) 10D. Need some love.
Shirts:

Pink, Pink (saw "14" and thought Brianpore! but I should have thought again: WOMEN's 14), Filson (taken), RRL (taken)
BB tie (not avail), CT tie, Coach square (not avail)
Outerwear:

Is this Barbour? XL, Made in England. Cuffs are a bit scuffed, but otherwise in great shape

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Trousers:

x 2, 32 x 30ish, beige and gray wool.
What's that you say? You'd prefer something higher end? OK

RLPL, 32 x 30ish
Suits & SC's:
What's that you say? You want something trad/sack? OK.

JPress solid gray, JPress green cord, Vtg BBGF, Vtg BBGF
Slimmer profile? Done.

Paul Stuart x3, 2 of which are Samuelsohn and the other is made in USA; plus BB1818
More USA made top notch quality?

How's old-school, well-made PRL blue label sound to you? Because I got 2. Left one has ticket pocket and double vent, is my size and is NOT available. Right side is dual vent and double breasted.
Not impressed? OK, how about this?

Zegna su misura, 15 mil mil. JUST a hair too big for me.
Speaking of the Italians:

Fabio Inghirami (anyone recognize this label? Looked familiar); Saks House brand Made in Canada, 100% Loro Piana cashmere; HF black 100% cashmere

What's that you say? How could I end on such a low note? Maybe you'd prefer something higher end? OK

Barbera Sartoriale. NOT available; my size And then there's the bad... (Click to show)
Here are the orphans I picked up. Probably shouldn't have, but couldn't let go of the hope I'd mate them.

Stuart by Samuelsohn navy stripe x2, RLBL USA made x1, Oxxford Super 150s x1, RLBL trou x4 + Paul Stuart trou x1.
Bitch of it is: I ran out of time. I left so many orphans and reverse orphans! BB1818, RLBL, Stuart... The orphans I did take were all half price; the others were full price. Once I learned from the floor staff that they gather up last week's 1/2 price stuff and toss it, I had to grab the orphans. Ima go back tomorrow and see if I can find the remaining mates, and will also hit another local GW to see if they got split on distribution.
What a day.

Wow, you totally got stuff that's well over $1,000! Well done! Got any SCs and suits around 40S?

lol, just kidding, didn't grab the Diors, but I did pick up the YSL lol..
I saw a lot of "decent" stuff today, but didn't pick up any. The store I was at priced there things way above thrifts, even higher than the consignments. Anyway here's the highlights.
Brioni

Caruso

Brioni

Jack Taylor

For muthafuckin' David Murdock. If it wasn't a single button cord blazer, I probably would have grabbed it.

Check out this ancient Brooks Brothers. I think it's from the 20's. I may go grab that, since it's still in bomb condition. Actually, I saw a lot of bespoke things from the 20's. I'm honestly surprised at the condition most of the stuff was. Old timers sure knew how to make some good, quality clothing.

And then, there was this bad boy. This I had to pick up.

Wait, what's that.

Oh hai. Wasn't kidding when I said I picked up a YSL.

Totally worth the 40 bucks.

Holy double crap!!! That is some luck you go there!

GODDAMN there have been some insane things found recently. Didn't have much time this past week to go out, but found a few cool items anyhow.
PRL tweed for myself. Found this in a hopelessly unorganized Marshalls, that usually loses tags on marked down items and then re-tags them with their original marked price, causing me to wait 6 months to a year for some items to finally be marked down to something reasonable. Well, this time it worked in my favor because they mistakenly marked this down to $40. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Don't normally pick up Mani, but it was trim and the pattern was good. Will probably never wear it.

This was timely. Was literally just about to buy a Gloverall or similar off eBay, then I found this. I can find nothing about George Key on the interweb. Seems to be good quality: real horn buttons, real leather, made in England. Cool blackwatch lining.

Of course not thrifted, but did pick it up at a price that stands to get me a pretty good profit.

That's pretty awsome!!!

Has anyone got a windbreaker like this to sell in size 36-40. I'm looking for a light color and any brand.

This Regent collar shirt is a regular PRL dress shirt and has plastic buttons:

This Regent collar shirt is a premium PRL dress shirt (probably cursive label, but they don't show the label on the website) and has MoP buttons:

http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4281904

Not all Estate collar shirts are cursive label shirts.  See for example item number 190708195421 on Ebay--this shirt has an Estate collar, but it's not cursive label, so it's not a premium PRL shirt and has no MoP buttons.

This is really helpful. I've been digging PRL shirts lately (affordable, comfy, pretty well-made), so this was great. Thanks!

That's 40 bucks at Marshalls. There were plenty.

I think I have the itch to get out there in the trenches today.
Crazy stuff, you guys. I'm extra jealous considering how dry my results have been lately. Or maybe I'm just being more picky. Or both.

I had a Power Glove. Well two. One I grabbed to hack and use with VR type stuff on the PC and the other to flip since they were getting popular for that at the time.

I think you mean "coup de grace." You said it was the stroke of fat. Unless you're being ironic and you're planning to wear them for Mardi gras.

Only the brioni is available. Also left four similar zegnas in different colors, didn't think they would fit that well, but the one I did pick up is perfect.
Not familiar with opening ceremony, know some the the street wear guys love it.
