Also left behind 3 nice shirts, size 17 x 33-34 if someone's interested. One T. Pink yellow and tan stripes, 2 HF, one textured off-white, one pale green and purple stripe.

Was in Aspen all weekend playing a wedding and the mothership called me home:

Didn't buy anything, but touched everything. So soft. I did end up doing a bit of thrifting up there however. Went to the Thrift Store of Aspen and found some black custom grade Church's captoe balmorals. They fit my buddy so he grabbed them for $6. Awesome weekend in all, with free drinks flowing and the leaves changing.

I would appreciate some pointers/advice/hints about thrifting in Dallas / DFW area (where and when to go).  I've seen several posts in this thread talk about how great it is, but I've never had any luck.  Everything I see is always worn-out, stained, and from Men's Wearhouse.

I'm not looking to flip, just to buy stuff for myself to wear.  I'm mostly looking for SCs, ties, and pants. I'm a 46L and 38-40/34 so I probably won't be competing with most of you.

The only luck I've had is at ReThreads, which is consignment and generally things sell for 30-50% of original retail.

Please PM me if you don't want to give away all your secrets!

Nothing major, picked up a pair of brown Jake Agave cords in a 40 at lunch, someone get at me if you are interested, make it quick though as I will probably just put them on the bay tonight as they aren't much of a SF approved brand.

J.Press Madras Cotton Tie

Is this newer, older, a special line?

Decent lunch run today, also some pics from yesterday.

Yesterday was apparently media day.

The collector had taken very good care of the vinyl, I'm looking forward to a little Dorsey tonight.
I also grabbed the original Star Wars trilogy in a DVD box set to replace the aging VHS set my 6 year old has been wearing out.

On to today - stopped in with a few minutes at lunch. Looking through the "Men's bin" for ties I found no ties worth buying, but found these:
Martin Dingman braces, Trafalgar braces.

And then I found another set of these:

Looks like the tiny shell run has come to an end, and I'm back to the larger sizes.

I believe these are 11 E and that the mark in between is just an overstrike smudge from the die. Do y'all think I'm right, or is that a smudged 1/2? The other shoe is no help, the E is the only thing visible of the size there. Either way, these will be available once I get them cleaned up enough to present well.

Yep Florsheim Shell Longwings 11 E...the 11 and E are too close together for there to have been a 1/2 in there.

General rule: pinstripes = orphan. Reason: You can't wear pinstripes with anything. If you do...Good luck to you.

Try to find the pants. It might surface. Good luck.
