Canvassing is an odd game. Many items I used to consider full canvassed I found out later that canvassing did not run right through the body of the jacket (half canvassed). I learnt my lesson the hard way on eBay when a fellow that purchased the suit suggested I was scamming by selling a half canvassed as full canvassed.
Check the canvassing further down the jacket, below the bottom buttonhole. That will reveal all. Most half canvassed pieces I have inspected tend to run out of canvassing either by the top button hole or just above the bottom button hole.

thanks, i will def. change my listing cuz it does that

IIRC that label began appearing when M&S bought the company, and was used as recently as a few years ago (they may still be using it on some jacket for all I know).

I've never really considered the different "lines" of BB, but most of the jackets I've seen with that logo aren't anything spectacular as far as materials or construction.

During the M&S era they had some suits with a silver version of that logo, I'm not sure the exact equivalent but maybe golden fleece levels.
They also used the silver tag for their "digital tailoring" suits. I've seen a couple and they're nice, but they styling is a little off, two button, darted, shoulder-y, very un-BB-like. They also seemed to be made mostly of thinner worsted wools, and tend to get beat-up and shiny faster so buying used can be a problem.

If it fits and you like it and everything good find.

EDIT - Be sure it is recent - just type Lanvin in Suits and look at NWT stuff to get a feel for what recent labels look like. If not recent, it would be 10bucks and 6 months of waiting on the Bay. If recent, you could knock over 100 depending on the collection (i.e. Lucas Ossendrijver)!

Hmm, the tag sure looked a lot like a newer Canali tag to me. And it was definitely a recent piece, and fully canvassed with pick stitching. Might go back and pick it up... if it's still there.

the picture was bad but the label is silver that is why I was asking about it, also does this mean it was part of the digital tailoring? it is also made of worsted wool but looks to be nwot because the pockets are still sewn shut, I doesn't fit me I was buying for flip so AVAILABLE did I mess up? I like the styling very little padding, two button except single vent :/

I always check the chest and below the bottom buttonhole to determine just that (well, on the pieces I'm interested in). Half canvass is still very nice, the canvassing is where it needs to be to form to your body and the fusing is where it doesn't matter if the structure comes from canvas or fusing, but yeah, I wouldn't advertize it as full canvas.

Speaking of full canvas, time for an unabashed plug. I finally got around to getting this cleaned and taking photos (though I don't have all the measurements yet), so I'll be up on SF or e-bay soon, labeled 52 long, chest measures to 46", so Euro sizing. Burberry Prorsum. Anyone in the market for a loud ass sportcoat?

Silver label is pretty good. Better than mainline, could be on level with Golden Fleece, or worst or better. Picked up one by St. Andrew's before.

Do they put that on the mainline logo then? It's a nice piece, but I don't want to mis-advertize it.

So, if you could, you know- offer a helpful response? shog[1].gif I don't flip a whole lot of stuff, and don't have encyclopedic knowledge of every label.

hehe sorry. others will know more than me. all i know is that's an older label, and definitely not the super fashion-forward (think latex sportcoats, patent leather moon boots, etc) prorsum line.

I think this is a pretty accurate rundown of Burberry labels

I never understood the older Burberry's lines, Prorsum or non Prosum, beats the crap out of me. In this case though London label in tag is a dead giveaway it is not the Prorsum we seek laugh.gif

On the canvassing part: I always thought canvassing was a useful for lapel rolls etc, but I find half canvassed jackets draping just fine. This fully canvassing draping down the sides just makes no bleeding sense to me since they drape well also. I dont geddit shog[1].gif

I have not...and I do have Netflix (streaming only - they really screwed up when they split their business).  I pay - what - $9 a month and forgot I had it for the past 6 months until you just mentioned it?  I guess they're not doing so bad after all...
