Well, at least not until they smell, which takes a long while.
Keep telling yourself that. uhoh.gif

I find them with such alarming frequency that I no longer worry about them fading. If they get too light, off they'll go and a new pair will replace them. Meanwhile, the dogs are less inclined to sniff my a$$ if I toss the Levis in the washer after a few wearings.

Whoa, whoa WHOA! How the eff did this slip through?!? I'm pretty sure this is the real effing deal; not licensed by HF not-quite-crap-but-not-the-real-effing-deal. Can you post a shot of the construction tag on the inside pocket?
I have no idea on valuation, but you can always run a "completed listings" search on Ebay. True G&H pulls a pretty penny, iirc. Consigning might be the right path forward here.
Solid SOLID find!

inlove.gif My size, too. I'll be watching that Ebay page, Mainy!

EDIT: Two stops today. Very recent mid-beige HF for Burberry SC, 2 btn, dual vent, excellent condition. 42L, fits generous in the pit. I have something similar that fits better, so available.

Big shout out to 330CK for hooking me up with a sick pair of RLPL sunglasses! He's a great guy, go buy his stuff.

Now then, it's been a few days since I got back home from Berlin, a city that's amazing for absolutely everything but thrifting (and Thai food). And oh, how I wanted things to have gone better than they did.

Passed on a very recent pinstriped Lanvin (made by Canali)... orphan. Would have bought, but Lanvin looks tough enough to move on Ebay as it is, with the whole diffusion thing. Also passed on a Barbour sport shirt because of low resale and it fit like a tent. And passed on a totally awesome Dunhill jacket with collar damage. Words don't quite work as well as this guy: baldy[1].gif

My favorite find today is the Jordan jersey. wink.gif

Picked up a few ties today.  Grabbed three Robert Talbotts - for the price, I usually have luck flipping them in lots on Ebay.

Then I found these.....

There was another thrifter flipping through the ties working in my direction... and I got her so flustered by picking up the Talbotts that she moved over to where I was and just missed picking these up.  Misdirection is awesome.

Ouch, that will defo be one size too small on me.

As Tallica would put it "So close no matter how far...."

FTFY smile.gif . BTW - may have been worth a pick up regardless. Lanvin from recent lines is rare out in the wild and somebody would want it even if orphan. Just the way it is ( ask yourself if you would leave a Hermes orphan behind wink.gif ). Go back and pick up.

EDIT - Be sure it is recent - just type Lanvin in Suits and look at NWT stuff to get a feel for what recent labels look like. If not recent, it would be 10bucks and 6 months of waiting on the Bay. If recent, you could knock over 100 depending on the collection (i.e. Lucas Ossendrijver)!

I was just being a smartass. Pretty sure that's mainline, not one of the super old labels, but not the recent label either.

if you're going to keep it, and it's nice go for it. I don't know if it will make much of a difference if you're flipping it... unless it's golden fleece and sometimes that doesn't matter

A sorta old find that I left in my car and forgot about:

gold plated Dunhill Roligas lighter, with original box, papers and service history.

That will sell quite easy.

Canvassing is an odd game. Many items I used to consider full canvassed I found out later that canvassing did not run right through the body of the jacket (half canvassed). I learnt my lesson the hard way on eBay when a fellow that purchased the suit suggested I was scamming by selling a half canvassed as full canvassed.

Check the canvassing further down the jacket, below the bottom buttonhole. That will reveal all. Most half canvassed pieces I have inspected tend to run out of canvassing either by the top button hole or just above the bottom button hole.
