Saw a rack come out at a shop today full of Ascot Chang but passed because they didn't have size tags being, I assume, bespoke. That and they just didn't seem worth it.

Also if any LA guys need a lifetime supply of various white Zegna shirts sized 16.5, PM me and I'll tell ya where. There had to be at least 10, with a few random patterns thrown in. Same shop I did a kindness to someone by pairing up some canali orphans. Come to think of it, the pants were flat front, and I think the suit was a 50. Fuck maybe I'm going to have to go back for that. Bit of a stain on the coat though, and I'm getting tired of dry cleaning.

Anyways enough whining, a paltry touch of bragging now. My sole grab for the day, which miraculously appeared after I'd been thinking of buying one-

In the sun you can almost make out alternating navy and purple tones. Material tag's been cut off, but I believe this particular run was from the 1980's and was in cotton? Haven't measured it, but I'm fairly certain it's a long, which is exactly what I need. Nice little entry into the knit tie world for $1.99. Sometimes the little things will make your day.

I've got this exact same tie. It's probably the most versatile in the stable and definitely gets the most wear, good find! I generally snatch up any wool knits in pleasing colors that I see....that aren't riddled with moth holes, as they seem to go with just about everything.

After months of trying to convince my wife that this MCM Lane desk was too cool to sell, and some minor restoration, I finally broke through. Cost was $20, shown with the MCM desk lamp I had stashed in case she came to her senses. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Now I just need to thrift me a MCM desk chair. @Evil Abed, this is the stuff I used, filled in the scratches and got rid of the water stains.

I can confidently say that I just landed one of the most epic pure thrifting hauls of the last few months, and easily my own most epic haul ever.  It makes the stuff from yesterday look like pure shit by comparison.  Details/pics in a few hours.

attention cart kickers everywhere! I got one back for us today :).  funny how things work .. i had to go home to help a friend with a dead battery.  decided to pop into a store that rarely has anything of note.  when it does they are nice however so I still include it in my route.

anywho picked this awesome, unstructured PRL Corneliani Number.

44R, Dual Vent, 3r2, Silk/Wool/Flax Thread

and wouldnt you know it right after I pick it and scan the rest of the suits my rival(*) walks in. It has a stain which gave me 10% discount ammo but should come out easily.  His presence made me pay 18$ for this >,< because it's 'POLO!!!!!' (yes that was their tag description)

* - to be 100% fair he is a really nice guy and we have exchanged locations and stuff in the past.  I have given him some names to look out for etc.  I'm sure he has beaten me to the punch more times than not :/ eh, anyway I win today icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Was that lamp made by a Chicago based company (I can't remember the name) If so, there is a black one, nearly identical, in the local GW right now.

Also is that joint in the tray????

Didn't know you smoked... I have a smoked Schott leather jacket you might be interrested in.

Hahaha, no that's a rollie, at upwards of $10 a pack, it's a lot cheaper to roll your own. We actually don't smoke very much anymore and only outside, but I toss my butts in the ashtray indoors. P.m sent on the Schott. biggrin.gif
