Wow, this map is incredible.  Only thing I found today were two Oxxford suits with damage...one of which I brought home before realizing it. Fuuuuuuuuu.

Let's face it, this is why we all do what we do. This one got spotted and culled, but that doesn't happen every time. The cash/Viagra/codeine we've found in pockets, the shell Aldens for three bucks, the infamous Gucci croc loafers. If it was easy, everyone would do it. So quit whining about markups and the good old days and go thrift an Omega or some RLPL or some Edward Greens. They're out there.

I hit that store 10 times or so over the summer on trips to and from my parents' house.  Never found a gosh darned thing!  Guess I'll have to stop by there again.

Here's my week thus far. All are available.

Vintage tweed Borsalino walking hat. No size. Opening measures 8" front/back and 6" side/side.

Super recent Pendleton "Board Shirt Jac". Could have sworn I saw this pattern in the Pendleton catalog I got around Christmas of last year. Large - Long. Curses - if only this were a medium regular.

Charvet shirt. Tagged 42.

What would you do?

Isaia sportcoat, mother of pearl buttons, Aquaspider wool, my size. The downside: black.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Can I make this work, a la Spoo? Or is a black jacket to be shunned, no exceptions?

Also:

Vintage Brooks Brothers varsity jacket, M (available). I picked up the exact same model last year.

I'd flip the Isaia. I don't do black. YMMV

I guess it's time for me to drop my load.

Went to LA Labor Weekend, didn't really so much as hang out with DM7, but he did have a bomb ass gift for me. Love this guy.

Some stuff from LA, some stuff from SB. Suprisingly, almost everything is my size (like wtf).

Uber recent Zegna and Zegna Su Misura (SB)

Silk Versace (SB) and Lova (LA) shirts. Did not expect to see Lova anywhere, not even LA.

Vintage North Face Purple thing. Their "Steep Tech" stuff by Scott Schmidt. (SB)

Super recent Pringles of Scotland trousers. Ridiculously nice, super modern styling. I'd say it's skinnier than the Lanvin fit. Retails a pretty penny too. (SB)

Crisp Rogue Territory denim. (LA)

Crisp Nudie denim (SB)

Coat by Bogololi. (LA)

Gucci (LA). One of the only things that don't fit lol.

RLPL cords. (SB)

NWT Etro cords (SB)

BBGF charcoal suit (SB)

PRL made by Corneliani (SB)

Giorgio Armani 21 Bugaruadfsofnsdove (SB)

Recent Ferragagomo, Recent Zegna, Dolce & Gabbana, Etro, NWT Paul Smith, Carrol & Co.

My best buys lately have been some nice costumes that fit my kids for $3-5. For anyone with little ones I highly recommend thrifting a ton of costumes for them to play dress up throughout the year; I was really happy that I did that last year and plan to do it again this year.

Nat, Borsa uses a sizing scheme that you may not be familiar with. It would likely be a single digit (I'm either a 6 or a 9, I can never remember which way is up). Check under the sweatband, it will fold down, and there could be a small tag hidden in there. If you find it I can try to find a conversion chart. It's called punto or something like that. Been a while.

Oh yeah, Borsalino hats rock!

Went to the suit rack and found two great jackets but of course no pants. Went to the pants rack and thirty minuets later I almost gave up hope but eventually was rewarded.

Brooks Brothers Golden Fleece that fits me great

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Oxxford 46T with 42T pants, pleated and cuffed. Available.

Disagree. Wore black today. Harder to pair than blue, to be sure. but I'd rock that effing Isaia until my face melted. Chet, if that's anywhere near a 42R and if you're going to pass, I'd be in for a proxy.
