Anyway. Back in town and stores are still dry. Only picked up the following Filson flat front chinos which are available. 40”W x 30”I:

P1010464.jpg

Passed on these AE Bradley’s which are 7.5D. They were a little hammered and will need new soles soon. Also, the prior owner probably did not use shoe trees. I can go back and get them for a certain member here nod[1].gif :

A lot of passes. A slew of PRL blue label pants, a Paul Stuart orphan coat and a nice BB Makers orphan coat; no luck on the pants. Also, passed on a NWT recent burberry tie with the jousting guy throughout. They wanted $9 for it. Too much, IMHO. Also, passed some nice PRL ties that were not new, but they wanted too much for them as well.

Shout out to Atljon, who hooked me up with some sweet shell PTBs. They’re gonna work brah icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif .

speaking of buying watches I still have that fake lady cartier, any takers? would make an excellent and cheap gift for a clueless wife/girlfriends devil.gif

also to keep this post not a complete self promotion I bought this guess watch at goodwill for my mom today as a present, it needs a new battery and strap but it's the thought that counts right... shog[1].gif

on a side note I am still confused about goodwills standard pricing, at one store in my area ties are $2.99 and at another they are $5.99?!

If you like them enough to wear them that is the value. Enjoy!

Nothing super awesome worth posting, but here are several of my recent finds.

Allen Edmonds Sanford in Walnut. These were awesome because they were brand new, my size, and because I did not find them, my GF did on a whim. Her exact response "These were so ugly I knew you would like them" (she has since recanted the ugly statement though) (N/A)

Kind of cool womens burberry blazer because of the patch (n/a)

Ties have been so dry lately. Can anyone authenticate the Charvet (my first, but with a small blemish) or the Lanvin (also a first)

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Some Polo Ties (JP, you said you wanted solid, right?) The green tie has to be about boys size (Brian, you do boy's ties??)

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Picked up these Zanella's because such a thing exists. Triple pleated and the design is just insane. Must see zoom in of pattern to appreciate...

Got this but I am 60% sure that it is fake. Got it for nothing though and it's my size so I couldn't leave it behind. The feel is right, but the label just seems off to me (cashmere in Hong Kong??? and the second label not being separated...). Anyone able to authenticate, or crush my dreams? (N/A)

Funny story behind this. My GF's brother is traveling in Maine and was literally about to buy one of these retail. I find this an hour later at a GW. Crazy timing. (N/A)

The lanvin looks wrong to me: LANVIN should take up more of the vertical space on the keeper. However, I'm comparing to exactly one sample, so others could correct me. At least it is the new label if it is real. The Charvet looks about right, but I can't see details of stitching in the pic.

The seer sucker looks cool, rock that soon, you only have a few days before the end of summer.

Your finds are good. I will be very surprised if nobody here snatches that Charvet tie pronto. Everyone likes a bit of polka dot action wink.gif

I love that Polo Ralph Lauren Seersucker jacket. Underrated find in my opinion!

only find today was this pretty nice Paul Stuart shirt, size medium

With classes having started, I will, unfortunately, have very little time to post pictures anymore, and a little less time to thrift. I'll probably only be able to do a weekly update from now on. frown.gif

Anyway, a small highlight of this week:

RLBL
New. Not at a thrift, but priced around what I've seen some Goodwills price suits and sportcoats at. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif
So not available.

Excellent LP shirt

Older Corneliani. Much higher quality than the PRL stuff: fully canvassed, real MOP buttons throughout, pick-stitching, etc. EU50dr8. Likely to fit a true 40 as it's a bit too big for me. Available.

The Hermes expires Sunday night.  There are some other good ones on there, but I am still developing my eye.

How did I do?

As for the chaps, not worth picking up unless it's something you're using for yourself. The old made in USA stuff is actually decent enough, but nothing with a chaps name is gonna re-sell.

Thanks to you both.  I added basic measurements...I will take more when I get a chance this weekend.

Bummer about the Chaps, I have a thrifted Chaps Sportcoat that fits me very well, and thought it was regarded a little higher.

I may be able to make the HF suit work, however.  I don't know if they can get the additional 4" in length that I need in the pants.  It looks like 3" or under to let out...if less than four, it is available.

All others available....even the Chaps.

Absolutely love the above items! The V2 looks a bit wine color. That is so bad ass! I think another SFer picked up the same Burberry women's jacket...I swear I've seen the same one posted on here. I'm not an expert on Charvet but I have 2 now and the tags look pretty consistent. Does it say "Made in France" in a small tag? Regarding the Polo, I've seen plenty of those made in HK and the tag looks pretty consistent. Looks good to me. OMG!!!!! That Burberry London is epic!!! Does the size translates to about a US 40 Long?

That's not what I'd call a tattersall check, Tattersall is more like the LP in 330CK's post below yours
