Perhaps, but still an interesting find out in the wild (and a first for me).

Wish I could have the ability to say. Never seen a piece in real life. I've heard some stuff is made by Zegna to at least Couture standards but knowing TF retail prices, not sure if even that is worth their mark-up.

I agree an interesting find, and I would be posting, also, if I found a TF anything. But along the lines of RG, i.e., something I wouldn't wear myself.

Hi ya'll, I used to thrift in high school for vintage tees, trucker hats, mall brand jeans, etc. that could be flipped eBay-style for $$$ in the early '00s. Hadn't been in a thrift store except shopping for Halloween costumes, etc in years and popped into one on a whim a few days ago. Found the Aldens below. This amped me up to hit a few more shops in the big state school college town I am visiting for the month and I found the Brooks jacket below. I think not bad for a first run. Definitely got me excited to thrift on a regular basis when I get home to my ordinary life in South Florida.

Alden 563 shell tassel loafer (my first shell, fit is great even though I am ordinarily an 8D; need some TLC. Suggestions?)

Brooks Bros tweed (41R? Unsure of the vintage as neck tag was gone. A little too big for me, will let it go.)

Hopefully I'll have more and better goods to show off in the near future and I'll continue to read this thread since it seems I have a lot to learn and discover.

^ Shell Care: brush, brush, brush. If it really seems to be dried out, lexol, but otherwise, brush, brush, brush. Google "mac method for shell" for more info, but it boils down to this.

I could use "just a blue shirt."
Is it everyone's experience that the blue shirts at thrift stores are consistently the most worn out and worst looking? White shirts are mostly terrible brands, and half poly as often as not, but at least they're there. I've found exactly one decent solid blue shirt on the rack in the last year or so, and it remains the biggest hole in my wardrobe.

Nearly had a heart attack flipping through the suit rack on my lunch break

Brioni DB charcoal jacket

Looked everywhere for pants but couldn't find anything. Should there be any more content tags then showing in the picture? I only see the 54/44 tag. Gonna run back after work and continue my quest.

^^ That's been hanging around there since Saturday. My heart sank when I found it and turned the store upside-down to find the pants. I've since been back about 4 times and each time I've searched for the pants. Gave up. That's an older model, I'd say pre-1998-ish so those content tags are all there are. It's a really nice piece - such a shame though that the pants are MIA.

Ah crap, I was hoping it was one they dropped on the rack in front of me as I was browsing. Guess I won't put my time into searching for pants then. Happy to at least find my first Brioni.

I am glad I don't thrift in the same town as Nataku.
