Yes, that could also be true. The newer ones are blue, FWIW.

Does it have a union made label? Pictures of that would be helpful.

Yep. Sorry someone interrupted my post at work with actual work related stuff. So I didn't get the union tag uploaded. It's the UNITE! Tag which I believe narrows it to '95-'04. I thought I could narrow it down a little more knowing which years this Press tag was used. I know the current label says DC after Washington and it is in the opposite quadrant of the circle. Just can't find any info on label timeline. I think Washington store opened in '89 IIRC.

Hi,

This is dm7.  My original account has effectively been banned.  Some of my posts have been deleted, I am locked out of my messages, and I have lost posting priviliges.  This is because I made an account named "ghostfrenchy" and posted the password to the Thrifting thread in an attempt to get Frenchy back after he was banned.  I did this because I felt that Frenchy was a positive contributor to the thread.

I have decided that it is time to creat a new thread, on a new forum.  One which is private, welcoming a warmer community, and less fear of leeching.  This forum will not ban people such as Frenchy, but embrace them.

I have created this forum at link removed because it could be a scam.  Feel free to make a user under your same name.  Once you create a user, you will still not be able to read or post to the forum.  Tomorrow, I will bump all of you to a user class which will allow you to read/post/do normal forum activities.

For now, I have simply rebirthed the Thrift Bragging thread, but I have plans to create specialized threads, as well as polls, and monthly giveaways.  I believe that this will serve as a better home for our community of hobbyists.

I have sent you this PM because I believe you are an active and positive contributor to the thrifting thread.  This is the only eligibility requirement for entrance to our forum!  Welcome!

Best Wishes,
DELETE a.k.a. darkmatter7 a.k.a. dm7

The real dm7 has my cell phone # and email address, don't think he would contact me this way.  Be advised.

You might want to delete his full name from the post

First Brioni ever found at a GW (for me at least)...a not-all-that-attractive tie, but it's my first so I gotta "brag".  Not available.

400

Pair of dead stock Weight-Rite / WR golf shoes, made in Britain.  US size 8.  Available.

400  400

Other labels. I think if I can find out when the current label started being used, I will have the dates I need.

I don't understand why a new thread is a good thing--especially since it's something that only invited members can access. I think that "leeching" is used in the sense of lurkers stealing thrifting techniques or spots? And the answer's to create a thread for the full-time or hardcore flippers--despite the fact that I can't remember ever seeing anyone share locations (occasionally someone might have admitted to getting friendly with a sorter to get into the back room).

This thread's created and fostered the community of hobbyists that some posters might be trying to turn into a community of career thrifters. There should probably be a forum for guys who do this for a living, but how many of those guys live on this thread?

devil.gif Three stores recently started letting me do this on a regular basis. All three privately owned, and the owner was the one who offered. They all three, thank me repeatedly, acting like I am doing them a favor by buying some of the stuff out of the back to clear up space.
