hey just got a pr new 75% off at the outlet myself during a recent clearance sale, the "low top" version for crappy weather days at work because I can't do galoshes or the other more upscale shoe covers seen elsewhere on this site. I'll just change into my vintage gator nettletons or aldens or vintage florsheim gunboats when I get to my cube.

FYI y'all... I'll be on vacay next week and incommunicado on an island. I'm not staging a protest or whatnot. 

 

Next weekend I'll be hitting up a few places in Atlanta on Sunday (which ones are closed Sunday?) but other than that I won't be able to thrift. 

 

All of my eBay auctions are down... it's like I'm an un-person...

I went to my favorite place last night, which had been super dry because there was a flipper that stayed in there all day, looking through the new racks as they came out. I remember he took some Bose and Shure headphones the moment they came out, as well as countless other clothing. He was there literally, from 10-7. I had workers telling me that.

Anyways, he wasn't there, but there were two other known flippers.

But got some finds still.

And this is one of my favorite finds of all time. Vintage double breasted plaid hounds tooth top coat. Soft shouldered and the ticket pocket really sets it off. It feels just like the linen/flax Etro blazer I found awhile ago that is now in GMmcl's possession. It was one of those things where I saw it a mile away on the rack, picked it up, saw what it was and prayed it was even close to my size. I slipped that fucker on and I could tell just from how slim the sleeve was that I had a winner. It just needs to be nipped at the waist if that, and it will be perfect!!!! Another piece to check off the list.

Congrats on finding something you've been after! I've been keeping an eye out for something similar. I love NYRanger's overcoat and I'm in need of a couple of overcoats. The problem is that they take up so much space. We're hoping to move sometime soon and we're definitely looking to have a (much needed) bigger place.
