The official thrift/discount store bragging thread - Page 2966

I overestimated the age of this thread - seems like a lot of you folks are 20 somethings.

Me 35 and aging gracefully. Thinning a bit on the top of my head which really pisses me off (those of you that have seen me may prefer to exchange the word "a bit" for "a lot" but I am still in the self denial phase).

Your age may be a well kept secret but I think I can debunk it. I remember something about you going to Ibiza in 97. If I put you at college age around this time, then you are about my age. Mid 30's, I am erring towards you being 34 - 37.

My chit chat was in the other post. This one's the brag. You know I'm wordy, so there's a story

I went through the pants today at GW. Even though "I don't do navy pants" I stopped short at these, and then saw this tag.

I wasn't sure what it was, but it looked familiar, I could tell it was born as part of a suit, and I knew I wanted to know more.

I went through all the jackets. This particular thrift is terrible for separating suit. [this is NOT the GW with only 3 ft of suits and jackets!] Whole rack - nothing.

I wasn't willing to give up, so I decided to spend the minutes and go to the women's blazers section (that is a dark and scary place).

After a while, I was met with a fabric that looked right

Ah yes, its Zegna, fits perfectly except for adjusting the sleeves and the pants length. Already at the tailor's.

When I was at camp, my favorite activity was arts and crafts. Or as we used to call it, arts and farts and crafts.
We used to make drawings: cave drawings...which is my way of saying that we were cavemen.
I went to camp so long ago that fucking Jesus Christ was my counselor and my best friend had polyeboslia.

Great flipping movie.

Also, I'm 31, a Virgo and I enjoy long walks on the beach and wearing dead people's clothing.

Good memory. I was in Ibiza 00- 01. (I think). Im 34. Just shocked that the crowd here is in the early 20s. I mean, I was in the hustle in my early twenties, but that was before the internet age. lol8[1].gif

Not that far along, but doing the double nickel. Certainly helps explain a lot of the questions here some times.
