"Nice"

Thanks guys! It felt really nice and got some compliments from the wimminz as well!

@ mike: I wore linen to an outdoor evening wedding and my ankles were so white they looked like flashlights!

Of course the traditional southern alternative is to keep your ankles uncovered so often as to have them the same shade as your face anyway! I, however, would be equally guilty of violating this cultural norm, because I hate wearing shoes without socks. The look is fine, preferable even, but I just can't deal with it for myself.

It happens ...

Hey, I saw a pretty nice pair of black Hanovers too. The label was red and looked vintagey (that's probably not enough for you to go on, but since you're the expert ...)

Label stitched in the insole?

Hanover closed shop in the late 70's so they would be at least that old.

What's sad is Warren Sapp hasn't been out of football that long and he's already broke.

Even more sad is eBay shoe listings give you 12 fee photos but they only used 11 of them.

And he probably still makes decent money from the NFL Network!
