...AAAAND thank you to the folks who chimed in on this one...  I had been tempted to pick them up but resisted, not knowing what it was / meant.  Shall never kop.

Well Done mainy, that's the way to post in a bragging thread!

I used to dedicate a spare bedroom to "library/office" functions. Now that is called a "project room" with books lining the walls. Whenever I know a lot of glue stick is being put to use, I just pray that it stays away from the more expense ones.

Thanks to those who said topys would still work. Neither pair has really worn soles, so they should be fine from what you say.

Thats a precursor to the Zegna "Duo" line, as we know it today.

Tough to say from those awesome pics smile.gif But it looks real, likely from that grey period in the late 80s of mass production. You'll get a dime on ebay though, likely. With better pics :P

My wife and I are backpacking in the central Philippines. I've got 1K posts to catch up on and a couple of Thrift Fits from the field to upload (internet connectivity permitting, lol).

Also found this HF that was an XXL. Had a couple of small pin-sized holes in inconspicuous places on it so I passed - would have bought it if it fit me, but if anyone wants it, I can proxy it, too.

*Edit - Both are claimed.

Nice finds, bro! Love the Loro Piana fabric! See, it goes to show you where-ever you go, there's always good stuff to be found! I'm glad you are hauling it up north. I recently started going back to martial arts training 4 days a week so no more 20 hours thrifting adventures per week. peepwall[1].gif

Time to cut down my obsession.

Dig: :inolve: that lp. Available (he asked, knowing he is already in the man's debt)?
Re jm: I too usually pass. However, the other day I found a pair of diplomats. Must have been vtg, but looked new and minty. Came with the trees for a fiver total. Great shoes, my size and fill a hole.
Hit chi-town solo (because I failed to organize myself sufficiently to arrange a meet-up with easy e. frown.gif sorry, man! But given how little I found, I suspect you've been busy lately!). Found some decent keepers and ebay bait, but nothing worthy of this thread. With just one exception: a pair of ferragamo black tassel slip ons. Size 8d. Vibram sole )with ferragamo on it, so they've not been resoled. Available. Pics... Eventually. .[/quot

Gahhhh, next time, and actually, I haven't been out in days. I feel like a junkie who needs his fix. Needless to say, I've got the day off tomorrow, and will be making the rounds.
