Started off ok. Found a RLPL casual L/S shirt, an Etro cashmere sweater and an Etro L/S button-down. Cool? Yeah. Well, as I'm looking at the Etro sweater a arm reaches over my shoulder and plucks a jacket from the rack. Literally from in front of me. Going by the quality of what I had just found, I wondered what it was that had been grabbed. Turned around and it's this 6'1 tall bovine shaped woman who is notorious for flipping. Literally hoovers up anything of any value in her path and is extremely rude/aggressive. Glared at her and walked away.
She left and I found nothing more. Decided to go to a garage sale on the other side of town to try and get my mind off her and the jacket. Got there and lo and behold there she was. Ugh! Garage sale was a bust. Hit 5 more thrifts and ran into another notorious flipper. Great.
I cannot believe some people.....

Bad luck dude. Well a Loro Piana eBay search would not be hard to do, follow up and find that jacket. Bid and then file a SNAD and send her an old jacket of yours with a fresh dog turd in the pockets.

Naw only kidding....

Still though, I would not have been a nice guy if she did lean over my shoulder and grabbed something. I would have certainly yelled at her and played the nut. That way in future wherever I am, she will not be there in the same aisle.

I think if that's anywhere near a 38, we should work on a trade for one I've posted... I'll even throw in one of the D'avenza twins.

This one is a 44 but off limits (dibbed) at this current time.

Literally hoovers up anything of any value in her path and is extremely rude/aggressive. Glared at her and walked away. At this point I'm pissed but shrug it aside. I'm usually pretty mellow. 15 minutes or so goes by and she wanders by me, really slowly with the jacket literally inside-out with the label clearly visible. A large "Loro Piana" label stares me in the face. Loro f*!&cjd#!* Piana. I got a closer look at the jacket too. Looked like tan micofiber (but could easily be wrong) with a brown corduroy or suede collar. What a slap in the face. She literally flaunted it around the whole store, draped over her arm with the label exposed for a good hour.

Also I have to disagree about Chromatics being album of the year. For me it's between Swans, Jizue, or Death Grips. It's a good album though.

Haven't heard the newest Swans.  Do intend to check them out next time they come through Denver.  I saw them last year and I was crying it was so loud and punishing.  Death Grips is cool, but I can only handle so much of the schtick.  Haven't heard of Jizue...might have to track it down.

Ok a few highlights from recently, and not so recently.

Guess the brand? I got this from my 57year old dad, who kicks ass. He said he never had the balls to wear this, and I can see why, but thats saying something for my dad. You will see some of his old wares via Spoo soon, very subdued. Spoo, I forgot to include this with the others, as Im not sure its your provenance, but now that I think about it, this fits with silver plated Audi's and importation to OPEC nations...

700

700 40 R, really NWOT, single vent, ticket pocket.

Chester Barrie (I got frustrated with my worst day out ever, and paid a decent amount for this) 44R

700700 if you can tell its black and white houndstooth. single vent.

My first pair of Aldens! Like I said earlier, some fucker touched these while they were in my cart... I flashed my piece and he left them alone! I jest, I jest. smile.gif700

700 9 narrow.

Made a pretty penny too because at the time Mark Mcnary or Bastian or some shit was doing a collaboration with Serra Designs to remake this exact jacket. I've regretted getting rid of it ever since, so this was a nice treat! It had about 30 years worth of grime on it, so I gave the entire thing the "treatment" and now it's near mint and drip drying per instructions.

Doh! Yeah, it was a damn nice jacket! If she had a cart it would have been launched out the door. That was her only find and she had it wrapped around her arm proudly and securely.

Yeah i understand about Death Grips, it can get a bit old sometimes. Jizue is a jazzy post-rock group if you're into that. Album is Novel.

Eddie Bauer for Ford Canvas with leather trim duffle bag icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif One of my favorite finds so far, no joke.

RRL Pullover Shirt thing

British Wool Knit Sweater, suede patches on shoulder, embroidered pheasant on chest. What is this brand? Wool is really thick, feels like a nice piece.

*edit* Cropped out toes on RRL shirt pic shog[1].gif

Saw one of these listed on eBay as being made by Mulholland Brothers. Any sign of that?

PM sent.
