Picked up this older Brioni today. Couldn't find much info about it other than what was on the small tag in the breast pocket. Even that didn't tell me much. Any ideas on how old this one might be? Not my size so I figured it'd at least be worth an attempt on flipping it on ebay.

Nice score! That's not older, that's pretty recent. Older Brionis will have a size label like this:

It's also MTM. What size does it measure?

Couple of interesting things today:
Steven Alan half-button-up ls shirt, size M

I love this!

red wings are 10d... the 877 w/ crepe sole, new w/ tags no box $130 shipped if anybody is interested.

Turnbull & Asser Blue Stripe French Cuff 16.5-35
I dont know why, but that shirt is really cool. I wish it was 17.5, bah humbug :( I am growing fond of the British shirts Turnbull and Asser and Thomas Pink - I sold a few of them recently and they were very nice shirts.
Impressive, both of you. Yes. Not made by Ittierre, thats just for VJC/Versus. Still impressed. :)

Nataku is bang on the money - this is quite recent, probably sometime last 5/6 years. Post measurements here and see who will want dibs - if you find someone, you get a great trade or a reasonable money offer. Only downfall is it is a triple button where most of us prefer double. But what the heck, it is a staple color, and on eBay $250+.

Couple of interesting things today:
Brooks Brothers custom ordered 3/2 sack... with side vents. Really interesting fabric, but the best part is it's dated 1964 and sports quite the old label. The custom tag is stamped 'll wool" - if this is all wool it's probably about the softest I've ever felt, I still think it might be a cashmere blend or something. Pit to pit is 22 inches so around a size 40, not sure of the length. <3 wish it fit me. :(

Dude... that brooks brothers jacket is killer. You are going to clean up on ebay with that thing! B2 stuff with that kind of age has been selling for crazy money lately, please list that thing so we can see what happens :slayer:

Ohhh, that one is a 38 - 40R approx. You will find many here that would want that, expect a few PM's.

:eh:, do old BB really sell? I saw a whole bunch of jackets like that in a thrift near Vallejo, left them there figuring too old to flip.

Yes. The old trad stuff is desirable, especially with the old label. 3 roll 2, patch pockets, tweed = anywhere from $40-75, maybe higher if you get somebody who's really after it. This is good in my book considering I'm rarely paying over 10 bucks for a sportcoat.

+1. Even the Trad contingent on AAAC would go berserk for this.

Just found this site tonight.
My friends dont appreciate my thrift store hauls. Now I can brag in peace.

Over the weekend, the local thrift had a half price on everything Xmas sale. Happy I stopped in:
2 Banana Republic chinos, one brown, the other a light gray/almost white
1 no label wool pant
RL Bright Pink button down, blue horse
St John's blue chaimos shirt
Croft and Barrow purple oxford

All for $13

Found a pair of Bally boots in my size, just a slight scuff. Did I buy them? No. Why? Because I'm stupid. Going out to rescue them today if they are still there.
Absolutely new American Eagle nylon jacket. ...And, yes, I bought this and left the boots. :p
Mani suit jacket. No pants so I left it.

When I first started thrifitng I bought three Mani suits, and spent too much getting them altered. I pass on the stuff altogther now.

@JKidd: Sounds like the line isn't cut for your build is all. There are plenty of suits 'my size' that fit me like a parachute. XD

Unpopular, but I'm an Armani whore. A/X and Armani Jeans I don't like, but I tolerate Emporio and like/love everything else! It's not the quality or anything (which I understand isn't profound), but more like the nostalgia of a first love (when I initially decided to care about my wardrobe, the first 'expensive' thing I bought for it was an Armani item ...and I was well pleased).
