Good god, man, do you mean to say they increased the P2P for that price!? Please, tell me exactly what to ask for, I beg you!
Found either a Samuelsohn or Corneliani SC (I get them confused), brown, @ 38 S-ish. Another Oxxford suit, charcoal, red stripes, @ 40. Will post pics, kindly inquire as to their fit and modernity.

Just that... There's some extra seam allowance in the back center seam. They can let it out and give you some more room in the chest. Works great, but you can only tweak that way, not make big changes.

Two small sized passes yesterday. Can't say how soon I'd get back (the stores aren't very convenient) but I can go back for them if anyone turns out to be interested.

Park Avenues in 5 1/2! I thought Allen Edmonds only made shoes down to 6. They'd been worn, but there was life left, as I recall.

Thanks. It's tough times around here. For illustration, a recent conversation I had with my local tailor:

"Hey, I'm just looking to slim down some chinos."
Pause. "What's a chino?"

:foo:

Apologies to those interested in the suits. Hopefully I can get some pics up in the next few days...

Found a nice light blue Brioni button down shirt yesterday. Looks unworn. About as staple a shirt as possible. At a size 41, it is too small for me :brick: so if anyone wants it, hit me up with a PM.

Really wish this was a 42 :(

Always nice to find a weather appropriate shirt:

Brooks Brothers, like new, Italian cotton, butter soft, button down collar, long sleeve, from GW $6.99. It does occasionally get cold here in Arizona.

Question on Harris Tweed SC's. Have seen a couple SC's with the Harris Tweed trademark, different store labels but with the trademark. Some SC's were fully lined, some just half lined. As far as thrifting, how do the different "labels" rank? Saw a nice, fully lined 44S Ralph Lauren tweed made in Canada, but it did not have the Harris Tweed trademark

What would be the "holy grail" of Harris Tweed, etc?

I sold one with this tag (although this isn't my picture)... I guess it's a premium tweed above and beyond the Harris Tweed standards?

From the official "Harris Tweed" web site:

Today, every 50 metres of genuine Harris Tweed are checked by an inspector from the Harris Tweed Authority before being stamped, by hand, with the orb symbol. All tweed men’s jackets made from genuine Harris Tweed carry the orb trademark along with a number that enables the Harris Tweed Authority to identify the weaver of the fabric and the date the fabric was finished.

http://www.harristweedscotland.com/our-heritage/the-history-of-the-harris-tweed-trademark.php

Guess if it has the Orb, it meets the "standard" needed to be Harris Tweed, wouldn't think there is anything above certified Harris Tweed.

My amazing lucky streak just continued again today.

Found (what may potentially be) my first Versace ever, though I'm growing less sure it's legit. Google shows lots of items for "Versace Classic - V2", but not much for just the "Versace Classic" label, and it lacks the outlandishness I typically associate with Versace (though if it's truly meant to be part of a "classic" line, I could see why). Content label also looks a bit plain to my untrained eyes. Construction quality seems good (nice thick buttons, weighty material, etc.), but I'm just not sure being totally unfamiliar with Versace. I'm hesitant to blast the Spoodar for something so relatively minor, but if anyone else in the know could help me out, I'd appreciate it.

This is just a very nice looking and well-made shirt. I can't find much on the brand ("Tosaro Balora"); it doesn't look like they flip, and it looks like many are made in HK (though mine lacks a "made in" label, so not sure on this one), but it's a really nice shirt. Feels like weighty, thick cotton and the design and colors are really pretty in person. Also FC and exactly my size, so it's a keeper for me.

Got this gorgeous and recent (right? This is the more recent Zegna label, yes? See pics) houndstooth Zegna Sc.

And last but certainly not least, my W.W. Chan angel struck again. Once again, an absolutely pristine, gorgeous grey staple, Vitale Barberis super 130s, tagged 2003. Found just the jacket at first and got disheartened, knowing how difficult it is to find pants once separated...but as with the Henry Poole and the Zegna Couture before it, managed to find the pants as well.

. Seriously feeling like the luckiest dude in the world.

EDIT:

Oh yeah, also forgot...got this Hardy Aimes tie just for the sheer mystery/oddness of it. It's really old, back when Aimes was *actually* made on Savile Row (has the No.14 Savile Row info on the back), but is 100% Polyester (Ah, 70s), has the original price of $6.50 written on it, and is insanely wide. Just thought it was a funny tie so i got it.

Versace Classic is a real label, it was discontinued in mid 2000's and was replaced by Versace Collection. That shirt looks real, hard to date, but it is probably late 90's early 2000's. Many sub lines of Versace were not usually made in Italy (apart from Gianni stuff and Itierre stuff), so curious if Versace Classic really was Italian made rather than Turkey / Tunisia. I dont remember though.

I like the shirt, what size are you and maybe I have a shirt in my box of thrifts that would fit and we can trade?

Ahhh, I take it that it is the Ittierre made stuff who also did D&G items, Versace VJC and numerous other brands like Cavalli etc.
