Shoe day - mint vintage red wing irish setter boots NWOB polo ralph lauren made in italy sneakers mint brown allen edmonds split toe alden for brooks shell cordovan tassel loafers russell moccasin co lace up shoes vcleat scotchgrain florsheim imperials (really good shape... and for $3 i couldn't leave'em)
Awesome finds! You scored on those Russell Moccasins. You'll get a pretty penny for them. They're made in Wisconsin if I remember right - really nice stuff.
I picked up a couple of Robert Graham shirts to flip last week... Put them up on eBay and one sold almost immediately. It's a mystery to me as I think they're ugly, but whatever.
That's what I love about them. I never feel any remorse for selling them because I'd never wear them in a million years!

Really? I love Robert Graham shirts. Funkorama, but still really tame compaired with some Versace or Moschino stuff I used to wear in the early 90's. If you find them in XL, gimme a shout.

O hai guise. I'm not much of a thrifter, but a big time lurker on this thread and have worked deals with a number of you guys in the past. Any way, IIRC people were talking about denim the other day. I have a few decent pairs of Diesel jeans in size 36 that are available. If anyone is interested, please let me know. Here are some pics:

Currently I'm more puzzling over the fact that a Banana Republic coat I posted got a $50 bid within an hour of the auction going up - and thanks to a photo snafu it went up super late... the paranoia that it's a scammer! :paranoia:

Check the bidders feedback, in particular, feedback left for others.

Nice jeans, if they were a size 38, I would be all over them.

I took a Stafford Signature shirt in my size off the rack at Goodwill on Monday and actually considered it. Conservative white with small blue stripe, split yoke, nice collar, single button cuffs, looked like MOP buttons and a good hand. It was an overall pretty nice quality beater dress shirt and I figured "What the Hell, why not?"

Then I realized the waist was a tent and the armholes were down around my ribs and I hung it up and backed away slowly.

Thrift store bargains are few and far between here in the Rust Belt, so I was happy to nab a $75 NWT Polo belt for $10 shipped on the 'bay.

That reminds me; at the Marshalls both in Albuquerque and Columbia I saw some Polo belts, which allegedly sold for $125, that are now for $20 if anybody needs a decent plain dress belt.

Dress belt? Surely there's no such thing.

Belts are OK with jeans or even chinos at a push but please never wear them with anything that can be described as "dress"

Oh yeah, almost forgot.  Got these 2 Ted Baker London shirts, size 4 (whatever the hell that is).  Left behind 4 others in the same pattern in various colors because of issues (collar wear, fraying, etc.).  The mint green one has really interesting fabric.  Very soft, doesn't feel like cotton really.

Kids asleep. Cant go back up. But I will. Perhaps Ill show you the matching shirt and vest while I am at it. :D

This post causes me some bit of confusion.

Either:

  1. Your child's bedroom has been commandeered to perform double duty as "Daddy's OTHER walk in closet (ie:The Versace Vault)"
  2. You experience such ecstasy when you execute a flawless 4IH with a Versace that you disturb the slumber of others with your cries.
  3. Sleeping child = time for conjugal w/spousal unit and she won't allow you to leave the room.

Me? I'm going with #2. Given the recent pics you posted in the 4IH thread, I'm guessing you REALLY enjoy knotting your ties.

I don't know that I've ever seen RG before. But I guess it's time to start looking.

Found Shell Cordovan a couple days ago. Allen Edmonds Cambridge just a little snug for me (I'm a 10.5 E, they're a 10 E) but I've gotta try, right! Anyway, a slight scuff on one toe, but barely noticable.

Ugly day out and no finds.

Decent story, though: I was walking through the pants racks at a GW and some guy was trying to button a pair around his neck. Like, cape-style. :puzzled: He wasn't even looking in a mirror or trying to impress someone. And he didn't look crazy. Just some guy trying pants on around his neck. The world don't move to the beat of just one drum...

Saw a NWOT Huge Boss (made in US) creamsicle (I think) herringbone SC in 40R. Really nice, except it was unvented and 3B. Didn't seem like an easy-ish flip, so I passed. Was it worth grabbing?
