Passed on a ton of Tom James suits, tweeds, and shirts today. Thought I had a BB tuxedo in my size, but the pants were no where to be found. Everything below is unavailable.

BB silk suspenders. I currently have no use for these, but I'm keeping them since they're my first pair and a staple color.

BB partially lined sport coat/raincoat? What's the proper term for this? I'm pretty sure the fabric is a cotton blend. I plan on rocking this fall & spring over a sweater and OCBD.

Nothing special today. Went back and picked up those Peal & Co for BB shoes. Black pebble grain oxfords w/ Dainite rubber soles. Overall nice shape. Size 9 D.
Sorry for the awful pictures. Still trying to figure the new camera out. Can anyone ID the maker (I know the pic isn't the best)?

My guess is AS 87 last.

Here are pics of the two sport coats I grabbed the other day. Both are 40R and available, but I'm a bit tight money-wise right now, so I can't let them go for bargain basement prices.

Z Zegna, 100% linen, made in Switzerland

Ermenegildo Zegna, 100% cashmere, made in Switzerland. Older tag but pretty current gorge/vents/button stance, pockets still sewn shut!

^^ Speaking of coincidences, I found an identical Z Zegna linen blazer the other day too. Light khaki. Made in Switzerland and has MOP buttons. Same size, but a Long.

Yup. Carpooling definitely saves on gas and you don't have to worry about what part of the store to hit first when you can split up. Trouble is when the other finds something you want and then comes the time to try and barter. Luckily we're a size or two off from each other.

For some reason my local thrift shop decided to unload all of their sweaters during a blazing hot day...I manned up and suffered through trying them on. Picked up some great Polo/Benetton/Woolrich wools and cable knits, mostly L and XL, but a few M's as well. Planning to throw them in a cheap sweater megathread in the fall, but if anyone is interested in cheap, durable sweaters get at me.

Just picked up a mannequin. Clearly have yet to figure out optimal lighting. For those that were looking, http://www.ebay.com/itm/270874198492?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2648. Cheap, pinnable, and good for anything larger than 38ish. Unfortunately I didn't have any old shirts that fit it, so had to go with a Luigi Borelli which I hope is no worse for the wear...

Orphaned and dated Brioni 40R US - bit beat but couldn't bring myself to pass

^ WOW that is a great find for a first (or, frankly, hundred and first or thousand and first) post.

i wouldn't get it tailored, that is a nice enough coat that someone here will undoubtedly be willing to trade you for something awesome in your size. also: you're going to get a bunch of people asking you for measurements, so you might as well learn how to measure and post the measurements. unless you want to go the 951socal route. rimshot.gif

If the shoulders fit, anything is possible.

Non thrifting success (well, an anniversary gift from my wife): My ratio shirt arrived today, and it is pretty great.

Thrifting success (well, not for me, but for for someone here, perhaps):

really quick and dirty and very approximate measurements:

p2p: 23

shoulder: 19.5

length: 32

sleeve: >25

So ... 42 R?

And now ....

This SC just turned seven! Happy Birthday, Mr. Oxxford ... (Click to show)

You're right, my bad! Just running around like a mad man earlier to let all the people who asked what exactly I had/give pics and measurements.
