as exciting as those were there was only one item that really blew my mind (im a bit jaded after all these years of finding shit)

a brand new never ridden 1971 Japanese Bridgestone bike with the warranty card and instruction s still attached at a goodwill for $100 ( a guy fooowed me to the parking lot and offered me $500 on the spot but this one is a keeper).

all the lights still work,has the original Primus pump and tools in tool box.i cant even find a a pic of a used one never mind a new one.

the only pic i could find is in a Bridgestone Brochure from 1971

this thing is heavy but its fast

and a guy i know,i was actually precent when he found it got a REAL vintage Tag Heuer Monaco for $7.99 at Value Village (Savers)

I really wished my computer worked, I had an amazing day today including the sickest golf bag I've ever seen. Looks to be from the 50's or 60's. It's a Spalding in blue and cream plaid with white leather on the top. But the kicker is that is has this hand tooled leather trim all over it with flowers and leafs. Stunning! It's in pretty rough shape right now but I'm going to see what I can do with it. I've never played a round of golf in my life, however I know some of you gentlemen like to hit the links. I'm debating weather to keep this thing just for the coolness factor or pass it on to somebody who actually plays the game. Pics to come, I promise!

also, can I get any advice about looking for suits on ebay? I've been trying to find staple charcoal, gray or navy suits in around a 36-38 (about 17.5-18" shoulders) and around a 30W (either 31 or 29 to be tailored in or let out), but I seriously come up with maybe 150 results after I put in those parameters, and I'm finding it hard to believe that there are only 150 navy, gray or charcoal (shit, even black will do) suits that fit that parameter. The ebay thread hasn't helped much, so someone tell me if I'm doing this wrong or something.

Which oxfords? Damn I'm sorry if I forgot to get back to you on something. PM me. I also just opened the the side compartment on the golf bag and there's a pair of Freeman golf shoes inside with shoe trees! Nothing special,but still. Oh yea, and the ghetto blaster IS the kind with the dual antenna, rabbit ears.

Sorry for the triple post, I also picked up an original Columbia Sportswear Co. fly-fishing jacket. Made in Portland and looks unworn, no really. Has to be from the 50's at least! The SW&D dudes are going to bust a nut!

I feel like such an incompetent buffoon looking at furniture and audio. I would know the stuff to pick up if I saw it sitting alone in a corner, but amongst the mass of useless shit, I have no idea. Does anyone else feel like the furniture and electronics bring out the scrappers? I always see at least one or two weathered looking gents in cutoff shorts and sleeveless t-shirts all over the bric a brac at the back of the store. Are they buying things for scrap, or do they actually know high end from Wal Mart?

Not Savile Row, but not too shabby. John Varvatos "runway" black one button, slanted pockets, very modern. Made in Italy....anyone know who makes Varvatos in Italy? This is not the Varvatos USA crap.

OK, this one is Savile Row Jarvis & Hamilton kick ass HEAVY navy flannel herringbone pattern sport coat. Could almost wear it as a coat. Double breasted peak lapel with ticket pocket (unvented). Great quality obviously.

Last but not least, a nice non-orphan (unless I am totally off) Redish/Brown Check Sport Coat by Hickey Freeman with working button cuffs. Nothing crazy, but nicer then most of the ones I see (and leave).
