An old Easter egg everyone probably knows about, but if you Google "recursion" . . .

Today i picked up a mint condition sulka shirt. It seems quite old, since label says "A. Sulka & Company" rather than just Sulka. The quality on it is superb; triple pleats going to the cuff, hand stitched button holes, MOP buttons, the works. I'm not the biggest fan of the collar nor the patterning, but it was cheap so i picked it up to possibly flip. I was just wondering if anyone knew if it's worth something.

Pickings are really slim right now. Must be the summer doldrums. Only one find today:

Canali Exclusive Collection 3 button striped suit. Silk/Wool. Side vented jacket. Flat Front pants. Very recent, has Saks' new script logo label. Tagged a EU 52 C (US 42 Short). Available.

Was gonna slam you for "taking" AE's photo but then I saw the JAB trees. Nice shot! This photo looks better than some on AE's website.

Without a picture or two, it would be very difficult to tell. I'm not the one to do the appraisal, but I know seeing the item in question would be beneficial.

This is a start and should be looked at every time before asking here......but it takes some work and digging to get to know values of items before you buy stuff. http://www.ebay.com/csc/Dress-Shirts-/57991/i.html?_nkw=Sulka&LH_Complete=1&rt=nc

lol8[1].gif Thanks! and this is with my crappy point and shoot. I can't wait to get the D3100 in two weeks!!!!  (still looking for a flash if anyone has one)

Love finding quality shoes more then anything else. They had very very slight wear but after a quick cream and polish look almost new.

Happy shout-out and public endorsement for Tben and Highlifeman ... Bought some great stuff from each, arrived fast, wonderful, love it all. Thank you both!

Now, if my wife doesn't find me irresistible, I'm returning it all back to you both.

Both of those guys should create for sale threads in B & S and then close them so you can leave positive feedback for each other. teacha.gifnod[1].gif

Hello to the other Canadians here.

I took my youngest thrifting this afternoon (a $2.99 doll buys me a half-hour of peace) so I'll have some stuff to post this weekend.

I'm jealous of some of you guys in the northeast who can hunt Murray's Toggery Nantucket Reds in their natural habitat. But the one thing we have up here is parkas. And I'm not talking those hi-tech things.

My wife got this awhile back. It's wool and trimmed with arctic fox. It fits her perfectly. Not bad for $11.99.

These come up fairly regularly. The manufacturers tag is usually for the band that produced it; often they'll come with a nylon shell (my daughter has one that's minty green). Men's and women's available. I'm happy to proxy for you or a loved one.

PM if you're interested.

Thrift Brags: Some thrifts I have flipped in the past week.  Not amazing but pretty decent.

Photos (Click to show)

100% cashmere sweater originally from Lord & Taylor.  Paid $5.

402

NWT Polo shirt size XXXXL.  Paid $5.

326

Oxxford SC.  Paid $5 + another $5 to have it cleaned.

278

Borrelli SC.  Paid $5.

207

Sold a couple RLPL's as well but I think I left money on the table by having them close at a weird time.  Paid $5 each, sold for $28 and $32.

People are clearly allowed to post anything they want.  That said, I sincerely doubt this was an intended use of the thread back when it was started and I'd be sincerely disappointed if this is the direction things went.
