Does anyone know the Macy's in-store return policy?  (I checked their site, it's not spelled out specifically).  I ask because I've got 2 thrifted items, still new with tags including Macy's gift tag stickers...and it occurs to me - maybe I can return them and get a "refund"?  I thought they once allowed anyone to return anything at any time if it still had the tags, but I might be thinking Saks or something.

I had two blazers stolen from me that were from Macy's with tags. The person who stole them was able to return them (and received a gift card). I believe it something like 160 days, but I'm not sure. You can always call your local store and find out.

Wow - that sucks about the blazers.

No idea when originally purchased, and my local is a 2+ hour round-trip drive so if they do have a time limit I'd probably walk out with what I had when walked in.  Eh, will toss on the bay and see if anything sticks.

Thank you.

Don't be politically offensive.

We all know that women are no longer required to stay in the kitchen.............................................................................................................................as long as they are barefoot and pregnant they are free to roam about the house and yard.

^^^ +1.  Returning thrift stuff to attempt a full retail refund seems a bit shady.  I don't mind exchanging stuff at GW that I bought at GW or a different thrift store according to their return policies, but what you're saying is a whole different thing.  If that's what you choose to do, good luck...

@ catside: Thanks for the shout-out over on the AAAC Informal Trad Thrift Store Exchange!  smile.gif

If anyone has/sees when cruisin the 'bay/etc a nice navy suit in like a 38L - slim 40L, could you hit me up? I'm especially looking for a 3 piece.

Also, if you have PM'ed me and I haven't responded, I will soon, I promise.

I thought about a similar sort of transaction at Nordstrom (we've all heard the tire story) but I decided to keep the shirt.

Thrifted a "vintage" Mossimo (remember back when it was it's own sportswear brand before Target licensed it?) purple/blue plaid button down that still had both the Nordstrom tag (with the sales person's code written on the back) and the original Mossimo brand/size tag. This is easily from the mid to late 90's during Moss's heyday, and was a total throwback/nostalgic buy for me. For a fleeting moment I thought it would at least be a good laugh to try and return a shirt that old, saying something like "It was in the back of my closet and I fear I just forgot about it," to see what they said before saying just kidding.

Wish I could decipher Nordie's tag codes to determine just how old it is. Can't wait for it to get cooler so I can wear it.

Also this pair of unicorn flat-front Zanellas I found last week but forgot to picture. They're marked 33 but measure 32x29. They're like 80% black, 20% navy
