everyone: don't forget to print out Androfan's advice and keep it in a safe place so you can more easily sue him when you catch herpes of the mouth.
EDIT: this not legal advice.
Noob question (I searched, did not find): how do you positively identify mother of pearl buttons?
I have some shirts that I suspect have MOP buttons - nice pearlescent "face" and white backs that may or may not have mottled brown patches on them, shirts all made in Italy. Is there a tried-and-true method for identifying MOP buttons?
Did someone say 3 piece..
LOL lips, NOT lick!
I hope this doesn't come back to bite me in the ass...I always wanted a fitting 3 piece. Never found one fits me the way I like. I will consider all of y'alls "3 peace".
If you guys have any 3 piece to spare, please shoot me a PM and send me the measurements. Jacket shoulders 19 to 19.25, length no more than 30, 24 to 24.5 sleeves, P2P 21 to 22, at least 1/2 canvassed.
Thanks in advance!
Solid weekend of out-of town thrifting, and I have a few questions. I'll be posting my finds separately tonight and maybe tomorrow.
First, this was a "spidey-sense" buy. It doesn't seem like Alan Mcafee shoes goes for much on the bay, but apparently some of their stuff is made by Church's and even Crockett & Jones. Anyone know anything about Mcafee's, or who the maker of these was?

How you rollin'? The recent dog topic was a nice diversion; I won't start a cat topic as my dear Dexter has departed after 17 years of putting up with my antics and is irreplaceable insofar as cats go.
So, car guys: are you pimping it to the thrifts? Rollin' on 20's? Maybe you've got a lil' speedster, or I outright hate you for having what I cannot: a 300 SL Gullwing?
Here's mines, taken late 2011 when I was still in Portland and cars had to live out-of-doors (bought a house with a garage when I moved here / ATL area).

I am losing my goddamn mind over this one.
Jesus Christ! How do you guys do it!?
Wait a minute...did you pay retail for these?
The Camaro is beautiful. Wish I still had the first car I bought after graduating high school - 1967 Firebird 400 CID. Checked ebay - $30k+...what?! It was $2k when I bought it in 1986. But to reiterate - that Camaro is beautiful!
