I bought a corduroy jacket that I later learned was too large for me. One of these was in the inner pocket, wrapped in a paper towel.

Then to another GW closer to the ballpark and an EPIC, EPIC, EPIC find:

It's a rust brown with green and brown window pane and is a 40S

Tie: Brioni brown grenadine, AE Oak Arlington's. Just need the sleeves shortened.

But, you may ask, why is this EPIC?

Looking at the buttons, they looked kinda like  plastic and I thought I could replace them with horn, but upon further inspection:

350x585px-LL-8d519cd7_IMAG1146.jpeg350x210px-LL-ea355d8a_IMAG1144.jpeg

14K GOLD BUTTONS!!!!!

Their marked Lindsay 14K on one end and 14K on the other. A little sleuthing turned up Lindsay & Co. of New York http://lindsayco.com/ and their on line catalog. There are matching cuff links on page 20, but the buttons are on page 32. Called the company and the sales rep said that the buttons are solid 14K gold (have 2 jacket and 4 cuff buttons) and the retail replacement cost for the jacket buttons at a jeweler is around $700-$1000 each and the cuff buttons about $400-$500 each.

For some reason I don't think the buttons are gonna stay on the jacket! Will have to consult the wise one, SPOO, and see if the "clothing" value of the jacket with gold buttons would be worth more than the value of the buttons.

I got an addition,

Have you ever hit 2 thrift stores on the way from wedding cerimony to the reception? Then, as if that wasn't bad enough, snock out of the reception during the bride and groom's first dance to go back and pick up that one item you couldn't stop thinking about?

YES [x] NO [ ]

I got these almost for free so I will pass them on for cost + shipping if anybody has a use for them, $20 bucks shipped total for both, these are really well made, too bad the pants are long gone.

Was killing time before a meeting so stopped by a GW in one of the most ghetto areas of town today. Who knew I'd find a few decent things. Loro Piana OCBD and Borrelli and Zilli button downs. Was hoping these would be keepers since they're all size small, but the sleeves are only 22" from the shoulder. Crappy pics.

I'm dreaming, but if for some reason any of them end up measuring closer to a 50L... Let me know!
