Lots of 40Regs around here....and If that bad boy is grey...I can certainly show some love in return.

Weird... That's different from the regular Corneliani tags I've seen where the size is bigger on the right side.

^ old vs new corneliani. the one you're thinking of is the newer stuff. the tags pictured above are the older stuff.

ok guys, this is making me crazy. I posted LP-fabric DB odd jacket tags yesterday, no one could ID maker (that's not what's making me crazy! It is what it is.) Keeping it, because although I couldn't find exact-match odd pants on the rack, I have some BB LP pants that are very close.

Went back to store today and more from this donor (close to my size) appeared, all stuff DB. There was this beautiful Zegna suit that...dammit the pants ballooned on me and I fear my tailor would have to do just a bit more than is prudent to fit me. Most of these started out around 42R but were tailored down to 40R-ish. I'd offer to proxy with pix (pick stiching! Lovely pattern!) but it's got 80,000 miles on it anyhoo, just over the line of really nice find.

What is making me crazy: From this batch of unusually nice italian stuff (at least for this store) I brought home this cashmere-wool blend suit, italy, pants lined, nice stuff from the same guy. NO MAKER again.

Who made this, can anyone ID? "Louie" has to be a giveaway (please tell me it's not Italy mcShit, hahahah, although I will accept it if it's true live & learn) that I'm just unfamiliar with. Google fail on my part, I have tried to figure it out myself.

I think it also solves the problem of who made yesterday's LP odd jacket because it has the exact same sleeve lining fabric.

Thanks for any help on this.

Hey guys.  I'm a noob, don't hate too much!  I've been going through this thread at hitting a few goodwills.  Haven't found anything too amazing yet, but I've definitely filled in a few holes in my wardrobe that will last until I find something awesome.

I think this is my best pickup so far, but maybe not

I hit a store that's had some nice things lately, and I ended up leaving a few things. Eazy, I almost picked up 3 or 4 odd jackets that would fit your definition of loud. They were a bit big on my frame, so may have worked for you but I left them because I wasn't sure you'd be interested. They were nice and from local shops including a green/cream check and a pink/cream/pale yellow plaid. Sorry I didn't get any pictures for you!

I did get...

Two Ermenegildo Zegna polos
526526

Bulgari Collection linen shirt. Neat pattern and great buttons, but it's a short sleeve button down. I have never worn one and quite frankly I hate them. I thought I could wear it to the beach though, so now i own it.

526233

Royal Stetson fedora. Any hat nerds here that cross post with fedora lounge? If there are, maybe you could help me date it.

I don't think I really like this tie, but it was cheap.

Maybe someone could help me on these, I broke Google trying to figure them out. They're John Mac Gray cousu wholecuts, made in Italy. Practically unworn and seemingly well made. Are these just another generic Italian shoe or something special? They fit, but I rarely to never wear black shoes, so I don't really know what to do with them.

Side vented Brioni odd jacket in a nice color. This is an older label, right?

^^^ This is a Gianluca Isaia Napoli label.  "Louie" was a secondary label added to garments made by high-end Italian clothing makers intended for sale at Louis Boston.  I have a shirt made by Luigi Borrelli and have come across suits with the same secondary label.

There is no model where it is normally found under Stetson. There is also an embossed H.K., but I was assuming it was the owner's initials. Anton Pichler was a hatmaker/hat store that existed at that address until a few (maybe 10?) years ago, so it didn't really help date it. Finally, the tag was located under the lining. The lining had been separated under the band to place/read the tag, but R Manchester is written and underneath is Farbe (color) 1353, control number and size (57).

Thanks for any help you can offer!

I'll get measurements and pics later as well Grendel. If you, spoo or nataku can't fit it the list is starting to get smaller and smaller of who I can offer it to.

I'm a 40r peepwall[1].gif
