confused.gif That doesn't mean someone else wouldn't want it though. I don't get the hype with Bills Khakis. They're baggy, unflattering, cheap at MSRP and barely sell used for over $20 each, even for flat fronts. Still, I don't turn them into car washing rags if I know people would want them.

With that said, I do hope you're rescuing it.

I wouldn't say that Bills are cheap--MSRP, at last check, is considerably more than $100, although less-popular models are often available for less at STP. I like them because they're comfortable and last forever, and I don't give a hoot that they're baggy. Depending on condition/style, they sell reliably for $20-$35, cost $4 in the wild and will ship anywhere CONUS for $8. It's a living. I'll pluck eight-dollar bills from thrift store shelves all day long.

Yeah, my point exactly. While they're not my cup of tea (I prefer slimmer-fitting Incotex, Isaia, etc), I know a lot of others who like the style and grab them to pass on cheaply. Barbour is a highly regarded name on here and a lot of people, myself included would jump on that jacket if it's in decent shape.

^^ Nice find! That stuff is crazy at retail. I saw a NWT shirt at my secret spot a few years ago that had the tags on it from either Ron Herman or Fred Segal and it was like $385 for a plaid button-down.

Spoo, I think I've spotted the gent we sold the loafers to:

Also, to the guy who doesn't think a Barbour is fashion forward, have you ever heard of Visvim, ts(s), Stephan Schneider, Nepenthes NY, etc?  Everyone is inspired by workwear, especially at the high end.  Sure it's not even a modern, slim fitting Barbour, but it's still a timeless referential piece.

Sup all. My car should be arriving here in NJ from LA since I'm moving up to Michigan this fall. As promised here's a link to the album of free stuff. Not much but whoever would like it at cost plus shipping and you've been a cool member to me or to others it's all yours to eBay or whatever you will. you don't have to have done a direct trade with me at all.

Also, anyone for some solid ties I could trade for or buy? Would like a few solid colored ties to go with some shirts, have a lot of patterned ones. Also still on the lookout or some oxfords to buy from anyone in around a 9.5D, also some casual business (maybe loafers or some bluchers) in the same size would be nice since delta lost ONE of my tribecas lol. But I'm a bit low on funds with the move so first I'll focus on buying the ties and possibly the oxfords first.

Edit: oh and a navy blue suit in a 36/38 to buy or trade for would be appreciated as well. Ive had a lot of luck up here recently, hoping to keep the trend going.

Found a Trek Multitrack 730 yesterday for $50. Looks like a bike purchased with the best of intentions, then barely ridden. Judging by the twist shift and cantilever brakes, I'd put it at a mid to late 90s vintage. Odd part is, the tires look original and in good condition--hard to imagine why they wouldn't be rotted and cracked, given age. Wheels are in perfect true, brakes and derailleurs all in perfect adjustment--all it needs is 30 minutes of detailing to remove every last speck of dust, then a squirt of lube on the chain and freewheel before being put on CL. Only thing lacking is clip and strap on one pedal, but I'm just going to remove the remaining clip and strap, given the target market is the novice crowd that will appreciate the fact that it has (shudder) a kickstand.

Saw some Simon Miller jeans today... for $250..

But did pick up a pair of 4 Stroke jeans at the same place for $25. Sometimes.. I hate the pricing at this location.

Also picked up a Baldessarini Hugo Boss shirt today as well as a Onami Roma shirt. Also a couple J Crew t-shirts. Love the fit and the fabric.

Oh yeah, a pair of Ralph Lauren sunglasses.

And a Gucci blazer for $50. Should I keep it or return it?

Balderssarini is avaliable.

Also, that piece of shit (or its sister jacket, the Bedale) is one of probably 5 items that motivated the whole push into workwear revival.  If you give two shits about "SW&D", you won't toss this away so quickly.

hey, yeah i was discussing the extensive cost of shipping this to you (needs something just a tad larger than the USPS Large Priority box but i can squeeze it into one)

the jacket photographs better than it looks in person, in the pictures it looks like a smooth workable well flowing lightly waxed cotton fabric with some luster to it.

yea thats just the flash.

its thick and it feels like a cheap raincoat, as for the cordouroy fabric at the neckline, its itchy and it drastically needs to be cleaned, the whole coat needs to be rewaxed as the "wrinkles" in the jacket are not actually wrinkles but parts where the wax is thinking and cracking

while i'd love to have a barbour bedale jacket (plenty of high end clientele wear them today) this jacket is not even in the same league,

just a a rick owens stooges leather( as opposed to a vintage perfecto )features drastically higher armholes, fashion forward post-hedi slimane fits and cuts. this barbour is the same way.
it is a 3/4 length jacket that has seen use and abuse and is given new life hauling brass to and from BLM land keeping public shooting ranges open and the second amendment alive. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Just to make the point clear:

it LOOKS like i found this:

528

but what i really found was this:

263

The truth is i don't want my reputation here hurt by selling you an old unwearable piece for what it would cost to get to you even at a proxy price.
If i had never shown styleforum the label and just the bag with the AR in it, you guys would love the bag.
