I can upon a haul of relatively recent Zegna shirts, all about 15.5-16 in many shades of blue. There's a green Gucci and a royal blue Charvet in there as well. All are available.

261

Also picked up a couple of ties and a pair of Porsche Design sunglasses. In order left to right it's a recent Berini, recent Canali, recent Trussardi and vintage Etro.

261

Got a tiny, tiny Henry Poole. Brianpore perhaps?

469

And a pair of +J pants. Size 33
469

Everything available except for the sunglasses.

Is there a resource that lists major label's various lines and diffusion names? Seems like a good idea/knowledge base for everyone if it hasn't already happened.

After a quick search around the site, I couldn't seem to find a thread that addressed this as an all encompassing / add a brand if you know it type thing, though there were some threads questioning singular brands.

That way we can save this sort of thing to our smart phones so that while we're out in the field, we have a reference source to guide us.

That Pendleton jacket is cool, Havent seen anything like it before. It looks legit, the label is newer and if you google "Pendleton Leather Jacket", first 3 links are from Pendleton's website. Unfortunately they dont have any photos and claim those items are no longer available but if you look at the description, it says "Imported" which usually means anything that isnt made in USA, Italy, France, or any other European country. Cool find!

Just won the Mezlan Kato in "worn once" condition for $51. Pretty darn excited over here!!!

Finally got around to taking pics of the barbour i got for $49.99
Had a few people interested but i can't justify selling a thrifted item for that much no matter what i paid. plus shipping for this waxed cotton piece of shit will outweigh the value haha.

I'll pull the lining off of it today and start seeing which parts of the coat are usuable for the ammo bag. id like to re-use the YKK barbour branded zippers for it any ideas?260

Yeah, those are really neat! I'd love to see pics.

As 951socal mentions, Shipley and Halmos were one half of the design team for early Trovata. In my extensive experience (two streetwear-ish blazers biggrin.gif ), Trovata was just as quality and just as neat (and more fun and distinctive) than Shipley and Halmos. And because their cool factor was severely reduced when the partners split up and they became a dreaded Urban Outfitters brand (oh noes, regular people have access this stuff!), you can swipe up the cool early stuff for cheap when it surfaces on eBay or B&S.

Not to get too faux-philosophical here, but why locate the meaning of the object outside the object itself? Clothes are tangible goods, man! Quality should be apparent, entirely separable from its origins. I guess I don't mind throwing stuff up in B&S, because I'm always buying the same kind of stuff myself....

Plus, I can't be alone, here. Who hasn't had a bunch of PM conversations like this:

~

"That is an amazing Loro Piana coat. You should give it to me."

"...."

"I will give you ten whole dollars. Please mail me the coat."

"..."

"Look, that thing hails from a lowdown, dirty thrift store! No way you paid more than five dollars for thing, mang. I'm onto you! Now let me do you a favor and double your money..."

"..."

"Psh. I've seen these coats on B&S for ten dollars. Nobody wants them. Ten dollars. MAIL IT TO ME!"

"Sir, you have seen other coats on B&S, but not this coat. This is the one you want. I can smell your interest. It curls from you like smoke!"

"..."

~

And that's just little old me. I can't imagine what darkmatter's life must be like...

Please don't cut that thing into pieces.  There are  numerous bag options out there and yours won't be made one tenth as nicely as these.  Sell it on eBay for $150 and go buy the sickest ammo bag ever.  You're going to ruin a jacket designed to last no less than a decade of HARD use just because you want something unique?

Also, that piece of shit (or its sister jacket, the Bedale) is one of probably 5 items that motivated the whole push into workwear revival.  If you give two shits about "SW&D", you won't toss this away so quickly.

I hope he was being sarcastic. I think he was, but my Sarcasm-Meter has been on the fritz lately.
