^^ Too true.

BTW, I'm having serious remorse about trying to nickle and dime you, hence losing out on those AE chukkas. Would have been perfect beater shoes when I go home for Christmas.

^Well, sometimes an offer works, sometimes it doesn't. It doesn't hurt to take a shot. There are always more shoes. They were nice, though. I wish they'd been my size. I've been wanting some suede shoes.

I saw two fully canvassed Hickey-Freeman suits at Goodwill today. Both sized 40r and I'm a 38s. I was sad to pass them up.

But I did get a Brooks Brothers OCBD.

The going price of similar goods on eBay is anywhere between $15-$60, depending on a number of factors(auction format, timing, luck etc.).

Yeah i knew it the moment i saw the Buberry's tag (knew it was older than Christopher Bailey himself) but still was stoked on it, i just love the buttons and patch pockets

Hey everyone,

I'm heading up to Seattle this weekend and taking an extra day. Can anyone tell me where the Goodwill store in Bellvue is? Any other places I should take a look at for some thrifting opportunities?

Thanks for all your help!

No. I said that I was a 38s and the suits were both 40r. I don't really ebay anything so I left them. They were both in decent condition...little old and frayed.

Oh I also saw a Brooks Brothers fused cotton suit. It was a 42r. And today at a different Goodwill I saw a yellow, orphan sseer-sucker suit jacket from BB that was a 44r.

This weekend - a lovely pair of pointy winkle picker nice 60s shoes for a mate with small feet (he got two beaut pairs last week) and for me a pair of Testoni kid loafers in my size with a near new dainite style sole and good original heels in that US rubber piece style. Also a pair of NOS 70s florsheims 9.5EE UK/Aus in black if anyone wants 'em. They have those (NOW) trendy roundish fronts

Went thrifting for the 1st time today. I was actually dropping off some clothes at the salvation army and thought that since I'm there, I might as well go in and see if I can find something.
I browsed for about 10-15 mins and didnt see anything. I was walking out when I came across the tie section. The 1st one that caught my eye was an immaculate Charvet tie! ANd right next to it, I found a NWT Polo green plaid tie. I snatched them up and walked out happy. Total cost was $10.
Then I went to another thrift shop near the salvation army. I found a Lanvin tie and a Lanvin 3 pc suit. I passed on both b/c the tie was starting to come apart and the suit wasnt my size.

Yikes, $5 a tie. That's a helluva deal for those....I just hope the rest weren't $5 as I know 99% of thrift ties are pure garbage.

Today I went to two Salvation Armys and found:

Luciano Barbera black 3 btn blazer in a Euro 48. Not my size so it's goin into the B/S section.

Dolce and Gabbana mainline back 2b blazer w/ gold chain on neck. Goin on eBay, unless there is interest here (doubtful).

Two Zegna shirts from the same guy I got the other Zegna haul from on Thursday. This, however was at a different store.

Bespoke 2btn Edward Sexton Suit. (going in the B/S section.)

True Religion cords to flip on eBay.

I passed up a lot of really nice 50's-early 60's slim lapel suits and jackets made for Daytons and a couple other now-defunct men's shops. I was rather irritated to find all of them not to fit as they all were a 38R.

^Had the exact same problem with a Brioni shirt recently. I didn't get that one because it wasn't my size and I couldn't sell it with a hole. However, had it been my size I would have gotten it and had my wife tack up the hole, which was close to the left cuff. I have a Hilditch shirt like this that I really like, the place on it is small, never seen as it's under a suit coat, and in fact I usually forget it's even there.

It's criminal they do that, though. At least put the tags in through seam.
