^^ That's a gorgeous bag!

I bet that RRL vest goes for big money on ebay

I hope so. My car is going to need a new clutch soon.

Edit: you're right. Found the same one here.

Speaking of cars, is it bad that I feel a bit out of place pulling up to the thrift store in an 8 year old GTI? Pulled into the thrift store parking lot today and I kid you not, this was the order of cars from L to R : newish Range Rover, newish Porsche Cayenne, my GTI, brand new BMW 5 series with the temp tag in the rear window, old Oldsmobile station wagon, BMW 135i, newish Acura MDX....etc. As a matter of fact, a Audi Q7 took my spot as I pulled out today.

Hopefully they're all donating ;)

That RRL Native American vest is one of the things that blows my mind. We're talking about a very expensive item, made out of very nice materials. That said, in what situation is wearing that item acceptable? Like, maybe if you're meeting Lenny Kravitz for lunch or something?

Keeps perfect time and has tons of patina!

^^ Geez, you've been finding some great stuff! That Cucinelli tag is the more recent variation, so it's not ancient. Doesn't look dated to me at all.

I thought the same thing. Probably why it still has the tags attached too.

Someone will buy that, if you take pic of the tag, just take the $227 discounted price off :)

Thanks! This thread has been awesome in terms of identifying great stuff in the wild! It still astounds me that people would throw away $300 shirts and $500 sweaters like they're nothing! But hey, I'm not complaining! :D Too bad I'm building up mounds of Lorenzini and RLPL stuff that's too large! If anybody is interested, contact me, I'd be more than happy to sell/trade some stuff!

You must be in a very good area to find this kinda stuff. If you're finding Jil Sander stuff with the hangers, you've gotta be near a B&M store. Probably Chicago? I know a few guys around there who've found amazing stuff. Here in Minnesota there is the money and the stock, but it's been pretty dry lately.

my guess was it was rare because mr. lauren probably had his minions scouring the country after release, buying them back to burn them.

Found a couple interesting casual items this week.

This vintage cardigan is literally like a quarter inch thick, high quality wools, and right in my size. This thing is at least 40 years old and in perfect condition. Made by a local maker who has been in business forever.

Also found this great vintage Woolrich workshirt. Fits very nicely so I'm planning on wearing it like a CPO jacket/etc. Again, super thick wool and wonderful construction.

While neither of these items are particularly valuable, they will be welcome additions to my fall wardrobe.

I found a pair of Chestnut AE Sanfords in my size and a Zegna jacket, couple of BBs suits, and an Ike Behar shirt flip.

That cardigan is perhaps the best-looking item of clothing I've seen so far in this thread.

Been a dry last couple weeks. I found a nice Kiton shirt in Cleveland while I was visiting my brother but that's about it.

*head asplodes* I lived in Cleveland for three years and never once saw a stitch of Kiton... :fu:

Pure luck! I was looking through a rack of the usual crap and my hand touched a fabric that couldn't possibly be from Van Heusen or the like. Lo and behold, it was a blue striped Kiton. The first one I've ever seen, period, whether in a thrift or a B&M store. Gorgeous shirt surpassed only by the OTHER KITON SHIRT THAT WAS RIGHT BESIDE IT! Only this one had a light blue pinstripe and had a noticeably worn collar. Alas, sense won out over lust and I put it back.

So, mint condition Kiton shirt for 5.32 American.

Holy Crap this thread is on fire lately. So nice to not have to wade through all that garbage that was being posted here for what seemed like forever. Do you guys think there are more finds lately, or just that there are more of us out there?

I love that watch, and that bag. Nice work!
