Right. So while I'm here...

Gentlemen, have you ever looked at a Spoo fit and thought, Well, damn. If only I could look like that...
7nAJN.jpg

Sure. We all have!

Well, now you can. For a limited time only, Noobizor's Emporium is offering you 40Rs the Spoo Special -- a slim and wondrous linen herringbone concoction, pretty much brand new, and straight from the rack Nordstrom!

No money? No problem! Simply t-r-a-d-e me for something my size!

Love the old ski attire, though not sure how that would hold up on proper slopes. On that note, thrifted a pair of Olin skis for $20 the other day, with Salomon S81 bindings as well :). Not sure if any of you ski, but Olin made some decent skis before they were bought out by K2.

I've almost pulled the trigger on that a few times. Always hesitate though. The whole strangers thing.

Yeah. Every time I buy a picture frame, the promotional pictures look better than the pictures I bought the frame for in the first place. My home is filled with beautifully framed shots of people and places that I don't know.

BTW...I hit 4 stores today and came away empty. Who really needs an orphan Oxxford coat or another Brooks Brothers shirt that's a size too large? There WAS a fairly nice Polo cotton tie but they marked it up from $2 to $4 so I'll let someone else buy that one. My head was also temporarily turned by a pair of Chinese made Giorgio Brutini blue suede horse bit loafers with a squarish toe. They fit wonderfully and I could see myself finally going sockless but then sanity prevailed as I realized I'd never be able to post a fit while wearing them. Saved $12 by not buying these two items, alone.

I can't believe this didn't sell...even in our booming economy!

So, did you go to Last Call this weekend too? The one near me has a pair of Paul Smith solid charcoal trousers in the clearance section. The pants made in Italy and have tons of handwork. They are gorgeous (they should be with a $615 retail price) with the exception of the contrast stitching that is perpendicular to the pocket corners.

I didn't! Sometimes the Nieman's / Nordstrom stuff they just donate to Goodwill...

If they really might be selling those PS pants, though, I'll totally have to check it out...

:D

New? Used? Nordstrom Rack? Thift store?

The Dockers I just snagged from Macy's -- D1 style, electic blue, $15 -- are almost indistinguishable from Incotex. I would at least investigate them if you are at all on the fence about a pair of uber-tight-fitting pants in outrageous colors.

Thanks for the heads up! I hustled down to my local brick and mortar and there is (are?) no longer one pair of 30x30's hanging on the rack.

Dockers must be all over the board in fit, because I just bought a pair of navy blue D1 slim Dockers from Macy's this past weekend and they fit between straight and full legged. :puzzled:

Needless to say, mine do not fit like those.

: (
Aw, really?

Yeah, in my experience, the fit is all over the map. I was able to locate the slimmest ones by price; $15 for the ones no one (in Texas) was buying. I have some D1 'soft' khakis that fit slim, but a bit looser, and what I guess are the regular D1s, which seem just like regular straight leg khakis. But I know from the sim-fit khaki thread others have had a different experience. Hm....

*Apologies for being bored and posting too much today. Will now disappear. - poof! -
