Slight uptick in my fortunes at the antiques market today. Didn't find anything I wanted in the antique line, but ...

BNWT Givenchy pocket square, still in presentation box. (Presumably from the couture line, given the packaging).

Some recent finds from the sartorially inclined Swiss Riviera: photos to follow, but I figured a little delay might build suspense (and I can't find my camera :D)

1. Zegna cloth DB 6/2 sportcoat, feels like wool/cashmere. No tags except the Zegna and size marking (EU 50). Functional sleeves/seems to be a fair bit of handwork. Would appreciate some help with identification in a bit. Peak lapels, unvented. Few sizes too big so looking to pass it on to someone on here.
2. Henry Poole of Savile Row bespoke gray orphaned suit jacket. Beautiful construction, as can be expected. Label dates it from sometime between 61-82. Fits in the shoulders/chest, but was clearly made for a man of greater girth than I. Small tear in the lining where the sleeve meets the body.
3. Some Talbott ties from boutiques in the American Midwest (Chagrin Falls, OH and Wheaton, IL). Obviously nothing to write home about, except I'm located an ocean away from said stores. Ironically, Wheaton is within an hour of where I grew up. Small world.
4. Brioni, Etro paisley, wool ties. Wasn't overly impressed with the Brioni.
5. Best find: Swiss Olympic vest from the Atlanta Olympics. By far the ugliest thing I've ever thrifted, but couldn't pass up a piece of Swiss history ;).

I hardly wear ties, so most will end up on the BS sooner or later.

Ha! I'm not touching that one...

No, I meant the new Incotex pants in general -- the ones I've seen/bought have all been pretty form-fitting, enough so that people stop to comment on them.

Right. So while I'm here...

Gentlemen, have you ever looked at a Spoo fit and thought, Well, damn. If only I could look like that...
7nAJN.jpg

Sure. We all have!

Well, now you can. For a limited time only, Noobizor's Emporium is offering you 40Rs the Spoo Special -- a slim and wondrous linen herringbone concoction, pretty much brand new, and straight from the rack Nordstrom!

No money? No problem! Simply t-r-a-d-e me for something my size!

Pair this sucker with a nice white shirt, throw on your best silver watch and some bracelets, and presto -- INSTANT STEEZ!

Gentlemen:

Spoo has opened the door. All you have do is walk through it.*

*with sincerest apologies to Mr. Spoo.

Overall a pretty good weekend. I found 2 Zegna shirts, a Pendleton wool tie and a hand made ancient madder tie for Leslie & Co. of Houston by JR.

Better pics of the ties

Also, I can't seem to resist buying oddities. I bought a "Texas Native Inertia Nutcracker" for $8.00. I did leave 2 1940s or 50s Friden electro-mechanical calculators that I found at one of the thrifts closest to me. For those who want to see what a native inertia nutcracker looks like:
It's missing the rubber bands that provide the force to crack the nuts.

If you want to see the nutcracker in action the inventor made a youtube demonstrating it.

I found a recent solid charcoal Canali suit jacket last month, but could never find the pants. If anyone happens to come across some and would be willing to proxy, I'd appreciate it. I need 35 or 36 waist of lightweight worsted wool. I don't care if they have pleats or are flat front; only that they are solid charcoal and in good condition. Here is a pic of the sleeve for color reference.

A thorough cleaning/ conditioning and a touch of cognac cream polish and these Vintage Pebblegrain Longwings are ready to go.

Thrift $12

What brand had the name Mastercraft? and when? That is all I can read of the imprint on the insole. completely leather lined.
