Def fake, but still only a buck...I found this a while back. It talks about tie, hanky, cuff link sets.

lol8[1].gif That explains it! (Never liked their ties!)

They had so many diffusion lines after I left, I couldn't be sure. But the Georgio Armani on the lining was bugging me. Love insight as to how you're so certain.

Picked up a mint condition pair of Allen Edmonds Bedford's 11 1/2 D, all I've done to them so far is brush em. available:

Not sure how old they are, was searching the issuu site and did find Bedford's, not this style, in 1980. The issuu is kind of hard to navigate.

Thrift fit today.  I'm almost sure there will be objections to at least 2 things but oh well, I dig it.

Yeah, I like it okay... I like purple and almost never find purple ties. I was wondering if it's real since I wouldn't expect to find an Armani in a pack like this, but the tie feels nice. I would like to know if it's real in case I decide to flip it, so if anyone else has input...

Ahhh... yeah, that's what I thought. This one isn't polyester, but I'll buy that it's fake.

Still, I like purple and finding purple ties and pocket squares is tough. I won't wear them TOGETHER but separately should be okay.

First, yes, shog[1].gif But I worked there over 15 yrs ago. Have not kept up with their diffusion lines/labeling. Hence I asked for teacha.gif how he knew.

  That's awesome...

I was looking through the Ibex catalog a few minutes ago thinking how nice it would be to find their stuff at the thrifts. I've found plenty of other merino wool and nice outdoors clothes, bu Ibex stuff is in another league...

ahhh, the 'Loo. Absolutely nothing there. grew up about 20 min to the NE.

Des Moines isn't so bad. I'm working on locating all the "consignment" shops as the GW/SA are pretty much shit.

+1. (And no offense taken, Grendel. Probably overexplaining/compensating for my gaff! Plus, I still want to know.... )

I found an Ibex polo shirt last week but had never heard of the brand before. Seemed nice but I ended up not buying anything that day.

The lady and I went to Des Moines and area on a thrift/antique finding adventure. I found a big stack of country and jazz records at the first place we stopped and then nothing else for the rest of the weekend...
