I had a good day yesterday. First up a Vestimenta SC. 1-button, peak lapels, and unvented. It's a 50R(EU) and available.

Next, a Hickey-Freeman solid navy Madison 93/7 wool/cashmere blazer. It's a 44R and also available. It does have some shine to the elbows.

Finally, a SEIZE sur VINGT shirt (measures 15.75X37, but tagged 42L cm/ 16.5"X37"), Brooks Brothers houndstooth check tie (available 4" X 61"), a pair of flat-front PRL seersucker trousers(not available), and a Brooks Brothers Irish linen button-down (not available).

And a couple of PSAs

If anyone likes eShave Almond or Lavender shaving creams Marshalls has them for $9.99(not on clearance). They also have eShave fine badger hair brushes on clearance for $29 (MSRP $60). The couple of Marshalls I went to also had some Brooks Brothers bow ties. My haul:

The bow ties and shave brush are available and I can pick up more of the cream when I get the mannequin(s) tomorrow if anyone wants a proxy.

I also found 4 mannequins for sale locally. I am buying one for myself and would be willing to proxy the others. This is what they look like. Price would be $30 plus shipping. Send me a PM if interested because I'm going to pick them up tomorrow. The ad says they are medium sized, fabric covered, and do not have stands.

I need a wedding tie by the end of May. I can get a $15 tie from Tiebar or a bit more at JAB but I was hoping some of you tie hounds might have something better for a reasonable price.
Thanks.

I urge everyone to stay. I've defended DM7 before. I like our little ecosystem; a pungent blend of macho smack talk and high-falutin' aesthetisism. We all add to that aroma. No one should leave (but everyone should F'ING CHILL).

Now for some fun...

Are the chinos maybe Couture label as opposed to the dress trousers being normal Ermenegildo Zegna label? I did notice some pants had sewn in stars on the waist band (like the Couture label design).
Any help is appreciated, i will ask the SA's, but i suspect their knowledge will be limited... confused.gif

Answered my own question, the chinos were Couture...

LOL! You have good eyes. I didn't even notice that. Obviously, the seller didn't either.

Cleaning out the close in the guest bedroom [the thrift closet]...some pretty nice staple stuff that never made it to B&S or eBay. All available.

Brooks Brothers 100% cotton v-neck sweater. Tagged L.

Recent, unstructured BR cotton jacket. Double vented. Tagged 42, fits reasonably slim. Picked up for myself, but too large. Good for summer.

hf.jpg?w=700&h=

Orvis nylon windbreaker. Tagged M.

Orvis flannel. MOP buttons. Tagged XL. Fairly heavy in terms of weight.

Dig, Closest thing I have on my "available" rack, but I am having trouble telling what color the ties you posted are. The checks are playing tricks with my eyes.

I've never seen a Burberry denim jacket before. I thought it might be fake at first. Still not sure. About 4 sizes to large for me at an XXL

Wasn't sure what this was. I only know one "GV" assuming that's what those letters are. It was a wrinkled leathery feeling jacket. Probably a women's jacket sitting but it was hanging up in the men's section.

Cowboy boots are either loved or hated on the styleforum, personally I love them. Today I found a pair of Polo Western by Ralph Lauren lizard skin boots.

Google tells me these were made in the early 80's by Dan Post for RL. The Polo Western line was later replaced by the RRL line.

Any Burberry at a size 2XL or larger would have me leaning towards the fake end of the scale. The fact that it's a denim jacket puts it over the edge. Screams Fake.
The Burberry jacket definitely looks fake. That said, I've found a number of real polo shirts in size XXL.

Cobbled! Not perfect, but what is? The Strands are another story altogether. I'll have to get a second opinion on those.
