Yeah, I actually appreciate both for different reasons, as do many others.  I should have specified *most* people in each group wouldn't appreciate the other camp.

P.S. Sorry, just wanted to know where VLSI was grabbing the brag-worthy dealz at.

EDIT: And of course post up man, it's a discount/thrift find.

laugh.gif Margiela GATs (or German Army Trainers) are replicas of a shoe Adidas made for Gemran troops in the 1970's. As opposed to regular sneakers, they have a nice, slim profile, and are made of ridiculous leather and lamb suede. They've retailed for as high as $800, can sometimes be found at Barney's for like $500, I think, which I find about as ridiculous as the $1,000 MC shoes. Still and all, they're really great, so it's nice to find them at a more reasonable price. teacha.gif

if you're looking for a reasonable prize, you can have a look here: http://www.tiszacipo.hu/en

the vass of the sneakers. that's baller, not that shitty brandwhoring for crap, imo.

I think it could also be an age / lifestyle thing.  SW&D fits on an 18 to 30 year old work and look cool.  SW&D fits on a 40+ year old will have you looking like those Diesel-ed out Eastern European dudes trolling the dance floor.  And conversely, MC fits on a teenager or early twenty-something run the risk of looking like a kid who got into his dad's closet.  MC fits on a 30+ year old work and look cool.

SW&D >>> MC

It's a real soft cotton, somewhat heavier, too small for me (neck).

Found a heap of mint condition suits and sport coats from one donor......really nice stuff (some a little crazy in color, some not) but waaaay too small for me. These are probably 38-41 or something - the problem is that they are Adrian Jules which is pretty much unflippable. No good to me (due to fit) nor useful on eBay, but if you're local and like DB suits PM me...

- Some people posted some decent finds
- Others went into conversation that wasn't strictly 'bragging about thrift finds'
- Some self-proclaimed forum police drafted their declaration of thread-independance; covering the proper use of the thread and proposing 8 sister threads and 2 new forums
- 2 or 3 noobs posted some christian dior ties and wanted to know if they were any good
- 17 jokes regarding christian dior ties were made
- darkmatter7 posted finds that confirm he has made a deal with the devil
- someone called him out for frauding
- Some Brionis were captured in the wild

I didn't actually read most of it, so some of these are guesses.
