That's a pretty wide "between."

Man, I have been busy this weekend, am bushed! Thrifted the morning of Saturday, picked up a fascinating Ralph Lauren Polo suit and a very interesting pair of shoes. For information purposes, give me the lowdown on these pieces.
Ralph Lauren Polo Suit:
- Made in USA by Hickey Freeman
- Fully Canvassed
- Double Vented
- Pants tapered
- Horn Buttons
Question is, since when did Ralph Lauren Polo ever have a quality suit like this? It is way better than the Made in Italy stuff, the tailoring is up there with Hickey Freeman's best line and not far off Ralph Lauren Purple Label. I would argue it is better than Ralph Lauren Black Label given the hand made features on the jacket. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Ignore the fact the suit is a 44L and a size too small (yanking at the button), pictures are to show the shape of suit, in particular the lapels. Date wise? Last 10 years perhaps? I did not know Ralph Lauren got Hickey Freeman to make their suits.
Stefanobi Loafers
- Lightly used
- Appears mostly handmade
- Goodyear welted
- High quality, perhaps between John Lobbs and Ferragamo in terms of quality.
- Size and info of shoe handwritten inside shoe (Bespoke?)
- Google search gives limited information, appears to retail up to $1.5K on some models. Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Never heard of this brand, information please. I spend $39.99 on them, I took a gamble. Condition was the major factor in selecting, and I know a good well made pair of shoes when I see them regardless of brand. These appear close to, but perhaps not quite equal to a good pair of Lobbs. I would say quality wise, at least as good as Louis Vuitton. I heard that Sefanobi used to make shoes for Borrelli Napoli.

I found navy Polo suit very similar, with the same quality features. Mine was from the mid-90s or so. Crazy thing was it still had the tag in the pocket, and MSRP was under $1000.

I think Berluti has made Stefanobi shoes before. You made a good purchase, though. I don't think Stefanobi has low end models.

Wow! Nice score. I have seen lots of blue label suits, but never one by Hickey. Is the internal tag one of the older ones, or the more recent kind?

Never mind didn't realize it posted.

60s Pendletons. Perfect condition.Thankfully the one medium fits just like a small. The last one is more of a sport coat. For me, these are big finds.

The backing color is in reality black, but shows up blue in the pic for some reason.

Was it me? Wait. I didn't go to a thrift store this morning. I was at a junk yard.

If that's you wearing that PRL, you need to reconsider what size you wear. The shoulders look pretty good (don't recall seeing you in other suits before) and I bet your tailor could do something about that "yanking".

Is there an interior button?

One reason for the yanking my friend. I need to go on your diet. I eat terribly, and my gains go up and up around the waist. I do weights, but little cardio. I think nothing of chowing down a large pizza and washing it down with a non diet 32OZ - 64OZ fountain drink.

Very very sensible for bringing my name into this equation. Needless to say:

Thats the question mark. The tag is one of a bespoke tag, i.e. write your name down after the "mr ________________". The jacket is double vented, Ralph Lauren in 90's just did not do that style. I am almost thinking this is recent. I could be wrong though, but the double vents have thrown me off.

Yep I know. I wish I was a shoe expert. From what I can tell, they are closer to Lobbs than Ferragamo's better lines of shoes - I am not talking about Ferragamo's lowish end which pops up at $300 retail after discounts.

Yeah those shoes definitely are not low end. I have owned just about every end of shoes, from Hugo Boss all the way to Lobbs / Greens. These shoes are closer to the top end than they are to a mid range shoe like Ferragamo or Church. I am tempted to say as good as Vass, but Vass are so good. They seem to be somewhere around that region though.
