Everyone Remember that item I won off of ebay? Well, I contacted the SELLER on Monday yet he/she hasnt responded. What do I do?? hyaaku I know the best re-weaver in LA. I was recommended to her by Paul from Wilshire Tailors. He is probably the most recommended tailor in LA so his recommendations are legit. Here's the catch. The place will tell you how much each hole will cost and they are not cheap. I think it's $50 per. Keep in mind that this company does re-weaving for E Zegna and other companies! I think George's in west la does it too and charges much less. However, I dont know if he's good or not. Also keep in mind that you dont need to go to the best re-weaver depending on your suit. If you have an all black or blue suit, it shouldnt matter. I had a very intricate E Zegna Milano plaid suit that was NWT so I paid the extra money for better service. If it's a "simple" suit, I'd go to somewhere cheap. If it's a striped, same thing. Let me know if you've ?? Cheers

I still think the collar is a bit large, and I don't like to pay $15 for a vintage shirt.

Gentlemen!

1. Hate to brag, but - uh - I will.

2. Recent footwear finds, all my size:

a. C&J Langham tasseled loafers in black - might need a new top lift if worn weekly for the next 6 months or so: $5 (no tax);

b. Vintage Florsheim Royal Imperial double-soled wingtips in brown - beautifully broken in but remarkably unworn (VERY strangely), though needed new heels at once; will need the soles looked at in 2-3 years: $5 + $22 for heels (no tax on either);

c. Red Wing chukka boots in brown oiled leather, new: $26.08 (incl. tax).

3. Also got a metal mesh-covered crystal soda syphon with 46 (unexpended) cartridges for $10, but that's entirely beside the point.

As Ever,
The Captain

Give 'em seven days after the end of the auction, then file a non-paying bidder with eBay, opening a dispute; that usually gets the buyer's attention.

Recently I've found the following
Red with white dot Charvet tie that I'm hoping is real

Brown gingham Lorenzini shirt

Brown silk LeBaron suit with peak lapels and tonal stripes. Don't know much about the brand but it looks quite nice and fits well.

Pix coming at some point.

if it fits and looks good and is reasonably well constructed, 15 bucks aint bad.

An OK day - went to a store I had never been to:

Zegna 'Soft' shirt - my size, excellent condition, second Zegna find in a month.

Two Brooks Brothers button downs - nice patterns

Nordstrom button down - these fit me like a glove and I like them.

They can't leave you negative feedback so I would file something through e-bay to cancel the auction.

Most pants don't have buttons for them, but IMO braces are only for wearing with suits anyway.

Got a few items today: - Pair of Zegna/Incotex black pleated pants. A bit large on me, but will do with a belt. Only thing is i'm not sure I'm digging the rise on them. - Pair of wing tip Bostonian Impression. I've been really wanting some shoes in any color other than black. Maybe not the best, but the 4 bucks spent will keep me from buying another pair until I can find a good deal on some.

Passed on: - about 5 Hermes ties. Really old and odd looking patterns, nothing I felt I would ever wear.
