How are they attached? They don't look embroidered (and it is leather)...if they are some sort of surface item, it might come off with some solvent based polish (try some clear kiwi)

Otherwise, just cover it with a small plaque/leather piece with *your* initials

Picked up this weekend:
- 2 Oxxford sport coats, both really nice are a bit too big for me. 42R, Manhattan and Onwentsia
- Paul Stuart shirt
- Fort St. George "Bespoke" shirt
- YSL tie
- Xmas Talbott tie
- Zanella pants

Passed on:
- Pal Zileri orphan jacket - had a hole, sadness
- Giorgio Armani suit: Unvented
- Southwick Suit: Pants were a 38 I believe
- Lots of Hickey Freeman suits
- Floreshiem Imperial Black Wingtips: they fit but just wasn't sure where I could fit black wingtips into my wardrobe
- Lots of other Talbott ties
- Lots of facconable shirts, not sure if these are worth anything, but didn't seem special to me

They're just kind of printed on. I'm not sure how the process of stamping them on works. I guess I'll take it to my cobbler tomorrow and see what he thinks. Otherwise, leather patch or try to track down someone that has those initials. Paging Reginald M. York.

Btw, what size are those RLPL's?

Principe was made by Marzatto, who also made most of Valentino's stuff for quite a while.I think it was actually owned by Valentino and was just eventually absorbed by them.I had a couple of their SCs and one was fully canvassed and the other was half canvassed.I also had a Dupont SC that was fully canvassed and was made by Marzatto, but I lost them and another 20 SCs and about 10 suits in a fire last September 7th.

You might want to go back and pick up those Florsheims if they're in decent condition, someone will want them if you don't,especially if they're shell.A lot of Armani suits are unvented, that was the classic style. You also might want to take a close look at the Hickey Freeman suits, the better models are fully canvassed. As far as Faconnable, the older Albert Goldberg stuff is fairly decent but then Nordstroms bought them in 2000 and then sold it to M1 in 2007,they're marginally acceptable but not what they once were.Albert's father Jean made good stuff in the beginning, they were actually made in France, but the Facconable name wasn't used until Albert took over in 1961.Please post pics of the Oxxfords,I might be interested or at least someone probably will be.

Thanks for the info on the facconable, all the stuff are saw were mostly long sleeve shirts or sport shirts which I don't need anyways. Sadly, I'm not expert at deciding if they are shells. However, based on what I saw, I do not think they were. Here are the pics:

Who is the maker of that glen check plaid? What is the size? If it's a suit, I'm interested.

Both Oxxfords and both 42. Unfortunately, only the sportcoat.

Picked up a nice Oxxford Renaissance N2 sport coat today....unfortunately it's too small for me...
angry.gif

Size: 41R (Shoulder:20, pit to pit: 22, sleeve from shoulder seam: 23, collar to bottom: 30.5)
Fabric: 6978 D1 (greenish glen plaid)

I'll snap some pics and put them up tomorrow.

Also picked up a nice navy Aquascutum suit but unfortunately the pants were mangled so it will have to serve as a sport coat...but, since the pants were trashed, I got it for $3.00!! and the coat is in great shape w/ only some minor waist suppressoin needed.

Good find. Hope you lotion the bag. Perhaps have the letter 'A' added to the monogram,
and wear a nice khaki shirt with epaulets when using.

I happened upon about 40 Gianni Campagna shirts plus a Charvet shirt. About half fit me pretty well. $5 a pop.

They all had breast-located stitched-in monogramming.

They do look nice, unfortunately I have a BBGF suit in the exact same Glenplaid and a Valentino SC in the exact same micro houndstooth.I mean seriously, what are the odds of that?Bizarre.

I just woke up and I considered RAMY and RMYA before I figured out what you were talking about.

Good to have options!

^^^^^

You could always just get a metal plate with your initials put over it, I think I saw someone do that to one of the briefcases they found with initials.
