Yeah, I'm at Step 1 right now: soaking them in a vinegar/water solution to get out the laundry detergent residue.

Step 3: Apply the strong solution generously to the stained areas. Place the shirts in a bucket (so that the solution doesn't flow away, or dry) with the stained areas towards the bottom of the bucket so they stay nice and covered in the solution. Allow to soak overnight. It can also help to use an old toothbrush and scrub the stained areas every hour or so, if you've got the time.

Only found an old Brooks Brothers 100% wool cable-knit "tennis" sweater today. Interesting. Size L, available to some lucky Trad! ;D

God a PRL and BB tennis sweater posted within a couple pages. Very old school and very cool. I used to have one back in the 80's biggrin.gif

Haha, yeah, I wanted one for a really long time, but have come to realize that there's no way I can pull it off.

Right now, I'd love to find some of those in small!

I'd wear the crap out of that sweater if it were a size XL instead of L... you all who are dithering about "pulling it off" need to grow a pair and give it a shot. I'll let it go cheap IF you agree to post a pic of yourself wearing it in this thread! biggrin.giffight[1].gif

If there's anyone out there in Thrifting Land in the Maryland area willing to make a run and see if these are still available, PM me. Thanks!

Lol, I'm the other "I can't pull it off" guy, and I'm also the other guy who found one tonight.  I tried it on...and I assure you - I can't pull it off.  tongue.gif

Completely forgot to reupdate. Figured I'd stop being lazy and get pics of all the shirts over the past few days I've picked up. I can't lie, I haven't been entirely honest with you all tongue.gif. Got lazy halfway through though because folding all of these shirts are aggravating. I'm keeping most of these, although the Etro and St. Andrews are definitely for sale, and I'm considering letting go of the Dave's / Frog, but I doubt those are going. They are a bit too nice. As for the bijan pants, they aren't pictured, but my tailor said he could do something, but at $40 and him having to recut the pants I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them yet. Also grabbed some RL country leather boots/shoes not pictured, gotta clean them up but they've got a great look to them. Anyway, here's the new album, some pics (my shirt pornmaking skills are still rookie level, I know damnit -_-):

St. Andrews Shirt Makers (16/41)

Issey Miyake, J. Lindeberg, RL Purple Label (color is strange in this pic, purple label is navy blue and really thin, not purple and thick like that)

zqYM8l.jpg

Zegna thick cotton shirt (love the color IRL, just muted enough not to be too loud)

Pics of some other stuff. There were some others but I'm almost certain I'm keeping all of those. More pics tomorrow of a few other things, and I think there's a Lorenzini as well. If anyone is interested in the Etro (16/41) or the St. andrews I'll hold it down for you all before my other roommates get them.

I assume all these are in the 16/41 size range... ie nothing XL-XXL? I could totally use a RLPL short-sleeved linen shirt for spring/summer. Also, any of you guys who have RLPL polos ever have luck stretching them back out? One of mine got thrown in the dryer... ffffuuuu.gif the width is still okay but it's too short now. I'm thinking I'll just wash it in warm by itself (it's purple... yes, a purple purple label polo... har har har) and then hang-dry?

Definitely still worth $20 each, but I lost most of my excitement when I saw it, so I put them back. They were at the Millersville MD GW if anyone lives close by and want to go pick them up.

I have to run down to Annapolis first thing in the morning but I have early afternoon appointments back up in Baltimore. I'll try to swing by. I've never found much at that GW other than my Bernard Hill tux and a pair of early Florsheim Imperials. Five suits? I've rarely seen more than 3 at a time there. If they're still there if and when I can make it, what's your desire?

I don't get why this happens with high-end and semi-high end polo shirts. I've had it happen to everything from Lacoste and Zegna to Brioni to RLPL. My regular Polo RL and J crew polos have never had this issue.
