You Will Need:

  • 1 Box Duncan Hines Red Velvet Cake Mix
  • 1 1/4 Cups Water
  • 1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 3 Large Eggs

Directions:

  1. Prep: PREHEAT oven to 350°F for metal or glass pans, 325°F for dark or coated pans. GREASE sides and bottom of each pan with shortening. FLOUR lightly. (Use baking cups for cupcakes).
  2. Mix: BLEND dry mix, water, oil and eggs in large bowl at low speed until moistened (about 30 seconds). BEAT at medium speed for 2 minutes. POUR batter in pans and bake immediately.
  3. Bake: BAKE following chart. Add 3-5 minutes to bake time for dark or coated pans. Cake is done when toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. COOL in pan on wire rack for 15 minutes. Cool completely before frosting.

Walked into a Goodwill today and a guy is checking out with a Herman Miller Aeron chair....arghh!! 5 minutes late. I did find a PRL teddy bear sweater though....hoping for big bucks and no scams. Also a couple of nice Norman Hilton suits, one gray pinstripe and a tan plaid, both around 40-42L and a cool Paul Stuart gray silk number in 42L. Later I found a nwot Ben Sherman cotton overcoat in XL but fits like a L along with a Brooks Brothers nylon flap pocket navy all weather coat, looks like a return that was donated. his one http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=308&Parent_Id=305&Product_Id=1492176&default_color=Navy#

What size/design? Because if they were nice and if someone does live in the area and is interested in picking them up for me, I could throw in a few bucks for their troubles. They're probably not worth much more than the $20, but (IMHO) I like them for travel suits. I have a couple.

I "worked from home" today and picked these up at a GW in a shady part of town. BB shoes, tag is faded, so I can't see the maker, but it's Peal, right? And they are shell, correct? Size is a 10 C, which is too big for me, but I picked them up as my first Peal and my first shell.

The only problem is it looks like they were shined with black polish because there's a burgundy hue beneath the black. I don't really know how to describe it, and it probably won't come through in pics. I'm hoping these can be transformed to their former beauty.

Outsole says Brooks Brothers New York

You'd think. Doesn't work that way around here. When SA started stapling leather goods, I started with the store and worked my way all the way up to SA national headquarters in Virginia. No one gave a shit or would even return a phone call. One reason why I never donate to SA. GW is pretty good about listening to customers.

3 total posts and you've already scored Brioni pocket squares for a dollar?  And couldn't be bothered to post pictures?!  A lurking pro thrifter?

The fine folks at AAAC say these are shell, made by Alden. I'll take them to a cobbler tomorrow to see about the strange coloring.
