Does this tag mean Golden Fleece, or is it just regular BB?

^^ That's mainline. Older, but not too old. I'd say 1998-2002-ish. Golden Fleece will say it on the label.

Nice finds on the return trip! This is exactly why I hit the store up multiple days in a row after finding a nice bunch of clothing that I can tell was out out recently. There's always a good chance that more from that donation is looming in the back room waiting to be put out.

And out of another store...
This nifty pair of H.S. Trask bison leather boots. Size 7.5M... didn't realize how small they were but they're nifty and available!

Hmm.,,,says the only guy with small feet in this thread...

^^ You won't regret it. I found a pair of NIB canvas & bison leather HS Trask shoes at a garage sale this summer. Love em!

Dang, you guys find crazy stuff at yard sales. To say nothing about Spoo's closet full of cashmere LP sweaters. *shakes fist*

Really though... those boots are something. Pretty nifty. Brianpore, you have pm. devil.gif

Was he looking at this thread?
Is there a way to get the stains out of the tie? It's silk...

You could try Tiecrafters:

I'm pretty sure golden fleece items actually say "Golden Fleece" beneath the brooks logo. I have three GF suits and they are all like that. Sorry.

Quite unremarkable. Why do people poast stuff like this? Seriously, stop it. (What Nataku said a couple pages back)

Cant say I have ever picked anything of note from a clothing point of view from a Yard sale, but did get a killer cool Tenpoint Crossbow with MSRP $1.5K and the lady only wanted $30 for it laugh.gif .

+1. Probably not GF.

The only way to know definitively is to do a pinch test for the canvas. Golden Fleece and Black Fleece are the only full canvas suit from BB. 1818 is half. The rest is fused.

While this is true for current / recent models, I really don't think it was that way in the past...

As others have said, this is 100% not GF - GF SAYS so on the label. Honestly, some things labeled GF - notably the polos - really aren't anything special. The tailored-clothing GF in recent years is pretty good - have they relaunched the line yet after, I take it, switching to Southwick from Martin Greenfield, does anyone know? I asked at my local store and they were clueless. Anyway, in years past it may or may not have been something nifty, depending on the piece. I really don't consider OLDER GF all that much better than older mainline, to be honest, based on my experience with older BB.

A few zengas, a canali, paul smith and a nice harry rosen branded hand made cashmere.

A strellson and a tm lewin that in retrospect I'm not super enthused about because they dont really fill any gaps in my closet, and the strellson looks more black than navy so i'm thinking it may be an orphan.

And the find of the night, a minty BBGF blazer. It's a bit big so i'm going to see if my tailor can work some magic, otherwise it will be up for sale or trade.

Here is what the gf label looks like if people were still wondering

I'm 99% sure that the "silver label" hand tailored jackets are fully canvased also. I have also had older BB suits that are canvassed.
