All true, but worth nothing that Italian-made Dior Monsieur is (often? always?) by  Corneliani, so usually worth picking up.



The only Dior that is worth picking up is Dior Homme. If it's Christian Dior Monsieur (usually made in the USA), it is best left avoided. RLPL is top notch. Gant, as a recent brand, has reinvented itself quite nicely. However the older stuff is all over the place and not really worth picking up, imo. RL polos are a staple type item for a lot of folks and you'll see them at almost every thrift store in the US. I don't pick up Le Tigre, but the stuff seems to be of ok quality. Levis is Levis, dependable enough clothing. The only thing that you have that is flippable is most likely the RLPL shirt. However, if the stuff you picked up fits you well and you are happy with it, I think you did ok.

That jacket is p2p 23", shoulders 21, sleeves 23 - but note that the shoulders often "overhang" on leather jackets by design. It's a pretty thick jacket, and it's outerwear, so I'd say the measurements are about where I'd expect a small to be taking that into account.

Looking at that jacket more, it's clearly worn, and I'd say needs leather cleaning, but structurally and all everything looks fine. @#%@#* why are things like this never my size... Also, I'm not 100% sure if it's suede or just leather in need of moisturizing and care. I might actually lean towards that, actually, looking at the close-up photo of it.

That's good to know because I see Monsieur stuff all the time. Is Dior Grand Luxe a step above or not worth picking up?

That Brooks old man jacket looks awesome. What is it, leather?  Suede?  It's hard to tell.

Great job paypal... I feel bad for the seller. Sounds like the buyer might have smashed a fake or something else to get her money, and kept the violin.

Content tag just says it's 100% Genuine Leather... which is no help. I really do think it might be a *leather* jacket that just feels soft due to age and needing conditioning. I'd have no problem rocking it myself if it were bigger. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Sorry to be a pain, but what you're looking at is a Canali label, not a Corneliani.

and I'm sure that's right because I have an Italian-made PRL that I know for sure was made by Corneliani that has the same bottom label.

Had my first hassle on eBay today! Yay?

 

I sold the Versace jeans I found... They were marked a 32 x 30 but the guy got them and complained that they were smaller than 32 and too tight... I guess I should offer to let him ship them back and refund his money? I dunno... Seems obvious to me that high-end brands don't vanity size like Gap or Old Navy, but whatever. 

 

Suggestions?

I often get confused between them myself.
