Just got back from my daily lunch thrift excursion. Picked up a fairly recent Hickey Freeman Suit in my size and a few pairs of shoes...Vintage Hanover and Bostonian.

Several ties, most of no great significance except one I picked up out of curiousity. Its one of those pin-up girl tipped ties. It is the doghouse pattern with the golf clubs, beer mugs and playing card pattern. I saw one was mentioned and described on SF back in '07. Very cool, first time I've seen one.

Here are some crappy iphone pics. It looks black in the photo, but it is actually dark blue.

Not a thrift find, but I thought I'd post this here for anyone interested. I'm in no way affiliated with these people, it's just a really good find.

This is an Oxxford grey pinstripe in approx. 40S. They are asking $169, but have OBO up. I'd pull the trigger myself, but I think it's time to tailor what I have instead of just adding to the collection.

Anywhoot...

Looks very 80s. Those lapels and pleats are a little much.

Hit a few places today... Picked up some interesting stuff but nothing amazing

- Willis & Geiger Safari / Field Jacket size XXL

- Hickey Freeman cashmere sweater designed to look like a sweatshirt... grey body and purple sleeves. Very soft

- Ted Baker tie

- NWOT Faconnable shirt that's marked XL but didn't seem that big... Turns out it's a woman's top

- Harris Tweed sportcoat (approx 40S)

- Vintage Harris Tweed overcoat (approx 40S)

- Lanvin Paris 100% camel hair sportcoat

- 2x BB merino wool sweaters

- Made in Scotland 100% Wool MacGregor Tartan tie

- Made in Scotland 100% Wool Macleod Tartan tie

Anyone heard of Nero Sfumato Positano? I picked up a shirt with that tag that's made of a really interesting grenadine (maybe?) fabric.

I did a search, but nothing came up. How is the quality of made in USA bostonian shoes. Are they work picking up at sub $5 to use as a pair of beaters.

And for you guys that go through the CD rack, they also have Playstation 1 video games. Some of these games sell
very well. I will post a short list when I get a chance.

I'd say the Willis & Geiger jacket is a great find, That could bring in some $$, especially if it's their Bush Poplin fabric. I found a Nero Sfumato Positano shirt about 4 years ago. Really cool shirt. It was white with what looked like hand-done contrast pick stitching in green on the edge of the collars, cuffs and button placket. It was a pretty well made shirt. Had a very tall collar with a 2 button collar closure. I remember trying to find out something about the name and pretty much came up empty, but I think I remember someone saying it was an obscure Italian shop that carried their label clothing. I think mine was made in Italy. Not sure since I no longer have it. The name sticks with me, though.

350

30 Pounds at Selfridge's. They also had boucle weave ties, but there is a limit to what my tie rack can carry.

Here's the Willis & Geiger... Yes, it's Bush Poplin. Any tips on how to post it on ebay?

Here's the Nero Sfumato. It's an XL and made in Italy. I'll send it to someone at cost if you're interested, otherwise I guess it'll go back

Wow - score! Looks almost military inspired with the epaulets and the bellowed pockets. Just list it on a Sunday evening and make sure to include that it's bush poplin in the title.

I'd title it as "RARE Willis & Geiger Khaki Cotton Bush Poplin Military Safari Coat Jacket. XXL"

I am looking for PS1 Spiderman 2 game for my son. Enter Electro.

Bostonian Made in USAs are very well made and may be shell. If not you probably are better off waiting for better stuff that will eventually come. Having said that it is 5 bucks so if it fits why not.

Here's the Dege. It's really quite amazing. My one question is that the button color seem more in keeping with a suit, but I'd be shocked if this were a suit coat. Maybe I'll change them to brown horn.

Yeah, I'm interested too if it's around a 41R, but I'll wait in line.
