Only two things this morning - plain grey v-neck John Smedley merino sweater, and a Mark Cross breast wallet that'll work well for travel (lots of compartments):

Oh, plus a Peppa Pig book and a furry snake toy to keep my daughter occupied, and a pair of pink Start Rite t-bar shoes

I need to check this thread more often over the weekend! I was eyeballing that RLPL since you first posted it. I would also have killed for those noise-cancelling headphones because my office is right to our Traffic department and Bon Qui Qui and Shanaynay in there are driving me insane.

Well, if I didn't get them then I hope you made a killing off of them!

Cheers

The summer and winter ones are double-vented, but the year-round (Belvest) and DB (Barbera) are both unvented. If I find better ones that are vented then I will replace them but otherwise I don't worry about it.

I probably could have already replaced them but I usually don't even bother going through the blazer rack anymore. I wonder if the ratio is as high elsewhere? I can go into a Goodwill that has 3 racks of coats and one entire rack will be navy blazers. I know that for many people a navy blazer is their one sportcoat but the mix still seems particularly high around here.

Weekend of safari wear. BB Shirt from GW and old-school BR jacket from another thrift.

Also, three navy blazers. Two pictured here are old-school Brioni and an Aquascutum made in Canada.

A couple of ties - Status and Rene Chagall; quality seems decent enough, but don't know anything about either brand.

And, a pair of PRL captoes made in England. Assuming, by Crockett & Jones? Water damage on the left cap but for $10, I figured I could live with it.

Usually I accept disappointment rather well, but today I'm upset. I found a very nice Oxxford charcoal pinstripe that looked great on the rack, only to pick it up and find the lining TOTALLY shredded. The man must have carried wolverines around under his jacket. Next, three gorgeous, and recent, Brioni shirts. I had them at the checkout when I discovered they all had monograms on the french cuffs. Back they went.

What size were they? I don't really mind monograms.

Why not have the cuffs reversed?

As we have just learned, I have a soft spot for navy blazers. That Brioni is sweet! The one thing I do not find much of is nice shoes. Those PRL shoes would count as my most epic shoe find. Outstanding!

Never seen a pair of PRL shoes that wasn't 100% trash, never even a destroyed pair that was once nice.

One store this morning, and it ain't NWT Hermes but it must be the local (downmarket) version. Only other NWT item I've ever picked up were Bill's Khakis at a store opening so needless to say I was floored. Of course it was the only item I picked up in the store... other than a hanger to trade for a Samuelsohn hanger!

Thank you.

I guess I have an abundance of navy blazers as well. Over the weekend, I bought the two pictured and a third by Corbin. It is a heavier-weight wool and had been sitting in the store for the longest. I consistently passed on it, but decided to try it on again, and I liked it. All three were $12.49 each.

On Friday night, I wore another navy blazer, Hong Kong-tailored, cashmere, double-vented. Purchased for $30 plus reweaving for $45 and tailoring for $90. It's a great jacket, but doubt I will ever sink that much into thrifted goods again.

Also have a few purchased new - two Barneys and one Hugo Boss. Wore the Boss a handful of times, decided I didn't like the fit and was prepared to sell. But, tried it on again last night and decided to keep it.

Ugh. Thanks for making me tally the embarrassing number of blue blazers I own.

Sweater day, Scottish cashmere to be exact. 5 of them.
Also, some Zegna Shirts
North Face NWOT heavy winter boots, which I need as we are getting slammed hard with snow right now.
