Everybody hit their local favorites because apparently the streak of good luck is spreading!

Today I hit a spot that's been dry for months and came away with a recent Burberry sportcoat in a cool looking muted orange tweed, a Polo blue label tux, a RLPL sportshirt, a pair of plain front Armani tweed slacks, and a pair of NWT Foot Joy golf shoes, all for $29.99.

I decided to hit another thrift on the way to school and I couldn't believe what I saw: some bigwig in town decided to clean out his closet. I bought a Brioni sportcoat with the basting stitches still on it, 3 Zegna Su Misura sportcoats - one of which in 100% cashmere, 3 sportcoats and a suit from a tailor in New York named William Yu (I think), a pair of Brioni slacks and two pair of Zanellas, and 2 Kiton and 1 Brioni ties. It was all $200 but the manager rang it up and said since I was a regular she'd let me have it for $160!

Guys, I left at least 15 other coats and 3-4 other suits, not to mention 50 ties (most from some place called Celine in Paris). There was also at least 25 Ascot Chang dress shirts but the guys neck was way too small. Everything else was my size except big in the waist.

This is insanity!

You should see the other 3 Partito sport coats, they are AMAZING!

I probably shouldn't keep bragging here as I'm bound to jinx myself at some point, but I just don't care. When it rains it pours. Today:

- Isaia linen/wool/silk blend sport coat - double vent/patch pockets (a little tight, probably for sale)
- NWT pair of Sperry top sider canvas shoes
- NWT Black Fleece light gray flannel pants (BB1/32"waist?) - definitely too small and will be sold
- Drakes tie
- plain gray Borrelli dress slacks
- Battistoni wool/cashmere/silk blend sport coat - REALLY nice, but at 42L too big for me - will be sold
- a sweet pair of blue Peal & Co for Brooks Brothers house slippers - size 10.5D, so a tad too big and will also be up for sale

I also stopped by the same place where I found those Partito sport coats hoping to find a few more. No sport coats, but the same owner also donated 2 chesterfield over coats also handmade by Partito. Can you imagine 2 overcoats, completely handmade down to the last stitch? One is a black and white herringbone with black felt collar, the other is a brown/tan tweed with brown velvet collar. Both are double-breasted. I thought long and hard about grabbing them, but the store wants $75 a piece, which isn't bad when you consider the quality, but do I need a third and fourth overcoat (I already have two, including a 100% Sciamara Cashmere Isaia I picked up at Filene's Basement a couple weeks ago for $400/retail $3k). What should I do?

Wow! You guys are really on a roll! Send some of that luck my way! I hit 7 stores in a row and didn't come out with a single thing!

I'd sell the Isaia, as it's a well-known label that brings in big money and then keep the others that are good quality but relatively unknown labels, like the Partito chesterfields you mentioned.

I can't sell the Isaia. I was thinking I might grab the brown tweed chesterfield because it's different.

Dry for a week now. I will sell couple of critter ties Hermes, Ferragamo etc. Maybe other critters will sense the emptiness and come my way.

Nothing from a thrift store, but I did get a Domenico Vacca 100% cashmere v-neck sweater for my girlfriend for about $25 shipped on eBay

Buy them. That's the sort of thing you won't find again. And two overcoats is nothing. It's always nice to have options in the closet.

I would have picked up the best few of the Ascot's and sold them as a lot on E-Bay. They bring decent money there...plus it would have funded purcahses for yourself.

Looks like everyone is hitting it right now! I hate/love it when things get hot this time of year. I am not supposed to be spending $ on myself.

But hey, I didn't spend that much. Funny thing, I bumped into a friend I had turned on to thrifting as I was going into the store I scored this haul from. He said "good luck, it is pretty dry in there."

Borrelli and Eton shirts and a two sided Drakes scarf. The suit is a vintage Southwick in a Donegal like tweed. Marked as a 42R, but hoping I might make it work. LOL probably not.

Italo Ferretti, Hermes, NWT Faconnable, older Versace, Brioni, Isaia 7 Fold. I am 99% sure the Hermes is authentic, despite being woven. But the plaid Faconnable is by far my fave.

I thought about that but I already have such a backlog of stuff I need to sell and I just never seem to find the time to do so. I think if I wait a few more months I might have enough to open my own high end thrift store.
