All are side vented and fit perfect aside from the Cashco which will need a small bit of tailoring.

pics :) you traded 1 shirt for all that?

Haven't been out much lately, but I've had a really fun past couple of days. Lots of interesting stuff, but sadly none of it is my size, so make trade/purchase offers if anything looks interesting.

Vintage Ralph Lauren Polo Herringbone sport coat 42L (with the old school union tags)
273
210

Dunn & Co Chocolate Brown corduroy sport coat 40L
269
269

Paul Stuart 44L houndstooth plaid sport coat (absolutely gorgeous, older model but looks exactly like some of the stuff from their latest fall line)
266
222

Oh, and I almost forgot the cream (pun intended) of the crop...

Vintage (I know it's vintage because there was a gas-station receipt from 1986 in the pocket) 38L (I think) Paul Stuart double-breasted suit (pants not pictured) in cream-colored linen. INSANE.
269
526

Also found a really nice blue Luciano Barbera shirt with MOP buttons. Again, not my freaking size... (it's a medium)... facepalm.gif

Well, one Hermes shirt, to be precise. He could probably get $150+ out if that. He buys to flip so he appreciated the shirt. He missed the fact that the Zegna cashmere is NWOT and super recent. These are headed straight for my closet, though.

Interesting thread, never really looked within.

So most you guys flip your goods? I never effing thought of that mad.gif

I usually buy to keep, but today you will think I am crazy on what I missed out on:

In the local Goodwill, I found:

Brioni Suit circa 2000 - 2002 in near mint condition
2 Kiton Sport Coats, quite recent probably 2004/5/6
Hermes Sport Coat, cashmere, probably older model 1990's
Lanvin 3pc suit, recent 2008+
3 or 4 Oxxford suits, quite old sometime in 1990's (I dont remember number, flicked through knowing not my size)
There were about 5/6 old Hugo Boss suits, some of them made in Germany, rst made in USA, curious .............

All of these were the same size, at around 40R - 42R, a mile from my size which is 46L.

I did not even think of getting them, whats the point if they are not my size, right? But now, I realize you guys trade stuff, help each other out etc...

Oh well.......

I could of course drive back, but 20 miles, I have other plans .... damn what a pity I did not buy them anyway, they were only $8 - $20 each and they had a 50% off on yellow tag items today....

I just buy sparingly now, and then trade with a small number of people in this thread. That is probably the best speed for me, living in an area that won't rain down Kiton or Brioni, as it does for some.

I'd say if you bought most of that and did your research on ebay, you would profit 1k-2k. easily.

I'd high-tail it back there and grab the Hermes, Kitons and Brionis at least! Man! Is it really that good out there in SF? I jump for joy if I find a beat-up Brioni shirt.....

Even if you don't flip, if it's cheap enough, you could get the stuff you know is hyped up here and pass on a good deal. Mark it up a bit to make back money for your time and fuel. I know some guys here who'd kill for a Kiton or Hermes sportcoat.

Beautiful jacket. Lemme know when you get the measurements of those 46Rs you got the other day and we can keep the Zegna love flowing.

Just checked and confirmed that it is not April 1.

Dude, you can buy those and flip them here in an instant.

There are a lot of guys on this thread who don't have the cash to buy this stuff retail, but still want to dress well. A lot of students, younger guys with families, etc. We do this almost out of desperation, so it's nice to help out if you can. For example, I went out last night wearing a 40-year-old bespoke overcoat that I'd picked up at Goodwill for $17. Some guy outside of a bar shouted "Moores?!" at me. Moores is like the Target of Canadian menswear stores. If not for thrifts, that's probably where I'd be shopping.

This is the second time in the past couple of days that someone's wandered into this thread and been shocked to find out what we're doing. It's also the second or third time that someone's talked about leaving behind $20K worth of clothes. I live in Canada, but as a 40/42R I would actually buy a ticket to San Francisco and fly there right now to buy those things.
