yeah I'm an idiot, that's what I meant to write, oops.

kind of funny that style is all popular now, when these ties are pretty old... definitely not recent

Damn! Find out where their outlet is and camp out at it! Keep us updated on this potentially epic haul! Also, what size are those Oxxford jackets?

Found the weirdest stack of records today. Totally disparate, but a lot of great stuff for $1 each.

Kevin Ayers/John Cale/Brian Eno/Nico - June 1, 1974
Timothy Leary & Ash Ra Tempel - Seven Up
Stevie Wonder - Innervisions
Kool Keith - Black Elvis (love this album, but I think it's going to go up for sale, as it goes for lots of $$)
Phil Manzanera - Diamond Head

plus, a couple of really great foreign albums I bought on a whim
Del Ecuador - Algo Especial En Musica (can't find _ANYTHING_ about this but it's awesome psych/folk stuff)
Pachacamac - Contrastes (french folk band playing South American music)

Went out today with a writer from GQ. Found a Brooks Brothers white dinner jacket in my size for ten bucks, and a pair of almost-new New Balance classics in gray, something I'd been meaning to buy anyway. Found him a nice Lands End knit and a couple other things. No giant scores, but a good time was had by all.

When Keith was touring this record, I ran into him at Streetlight Records in Santa Cruz. He was saying as loud as possible, "SHOW ME THAT HOT DRUM AND BASS! I NEED TO CHECK OUT THAT DRUM & BASS!"

Whoah, you went thrifting with a GQ writer? Is there a profile imminent? I'm so jelly... This also sounds like it has the makings of good romantic comedy. Did anything wacky happen?

Other stuff as well..when you thrift you gotta look for items to flip or can use. I think more than half the household items I have are thrifted!
