Looks just like this, but has the original black/white seat with the S on it:

Nice bike Nataku. You going to swan around town in it, tootling from thrift to thrift with your wicker basket mounted on the bars? (Forgive my scepticism, but I doubt this "racer" ever saw a velodrome) smile.gif

^^ Cool find, but I'm with you on the music. My mom loves Liberace and I remember a album she had when I was a kid where he was wearing this flowing light blue cape/dress/suit thing. For some strange reason that cover scared me to death - maybe I thought he looked like a ghost? laugh.gif

Edit: found the album cover:

Haha, you hit the nail on the head pretty much. Just an around the town cruiser for dinking around the city.

I'll try to snap some pictures tomorrow. My iPhone photobucket app isn't uploading, and I'm not feeling patient enough to upload with my point and shoot. It's a 52 Euro, but my guess is that it's about a 43" chest, as it fits me pretty well (not that I'm looking to sell it - I get attached to quirky blazers). Do you know anything about the brand? I saw one old forum thread by a guy considering buying a $600 dollar Crosby moleskin blazer off Yoox. From this, I'm guessing that my initial hunch about the quality wasn't too far off. This blazer also uses some type of dye that seems to fade into a neat blend of purple-shades after enough wear (it says something about the dye on the inside label).

Gah, too big for me. Still curious to see it anyhow. I don't know anything about the label, I just love purple. smile.gif

Think this is the right venue for this. Just as a general PSA I would avoid Filene's Basement. The one by me generally has some really nice deeply discounted stuff (had good luck with Brioni, Versace, RLPL and even Kiton in the past). However, when I walked in yesterday it was merchandized to shit with Joseph Abboud and the like as far as the eye could see. I asked the SA where the usual trove of Barney's stuff that is usually sloppily hung in on a secluded rack was and he informed me that Filene's Basement is no longer sourcing garments from Barney's or even Filene's. It appears since they have been bought by Syms they have gone to stocking outlet-only lines, a la Men's Warehouse. Just thought I would give a friendly tip. Hopefully something to brag about in the near future.

Today I found a recent NWT Ermenegildo Zegna tie and a WOMEN'S bespoke RAF blue blazer from Saint Laurie that fits! To my knowledge, I've never seen a women's bespoke jacket in person before, let alone at the thrift store. Pretty cool.

Damn! Makes sense now... was just in a Filene's and couldn't find those Barney's/Bergdorf/Mitchells/Richards racks anywhere! I felt like I was in a fucking Kohl's (excuse my language). But it all makes sense now... Fuck you, Sy Syms! These educated consumers will never be your customers. RIP.

Couple pairs of Allen Edmonds loafers - a nice pair of Woodstocks (11D) and a pair of Enfields (11D). Also found a pair of Church's driving mocs (10.5) and some black Polo tassel mocs (10.5D).

Also found a Joseph Abboud Plaid "American Soft" blazer (42S) that's still being sold for full price ($495) at Nordstrom. Finally, i swung by TJ Maxx. No Black Fleece or Golden Fleece, but got a really nice Polo madras tie for 10 bucks.

I'll probably keep the Enfields and the Church's and probably the Polo tie, but hit me up if you're interested in any of the other items.

Also, a question:

I found Corneliani DB, roughly a size 41/42. 85% wool, 15% cashmere. It had some pretty pronounced peak lapels and was ventless, so I passed. Is there any value here? The suit was 10 bucks.

things without vents are not worth picking up, IME

unless it's brioni, kiton, or one of those brands that can be sold on ebay no matter how awful it is

As for me... I have been slacking on posting pics lately. Here is most of the stuff I've thrifted in the past 2-3 weeks though: http://shop.ebay.com/crazearcade/m.html?_trksid=p4340.l2562

Today I picked up some NWOB alden shoes... and a pretty sweet one button flannel custom suit from the late 80's in a steel blue. I will post some pics of it in a bit, it was worth saving, looks like a 39 or slim 40
